I present you a two-story-high house designed for a two-sim family. The house is barely furnished, but I'm sure that the basic needs of two sims can be easily accomodated. As for skills development, I've managed to include a bookcase and a mirror. Other items: king-sized bed, stove, fridge, table with two chairs, fireplace.

As your sim family will expand and earn some cash, you'll be able to turn this modest home into a nice residence. For example, you can turn the shadowy patio into a garage. Plus, everything in the upstairs part of the house is left for you to design, including the walls! :-)
