I'm temporarily neglecting traditional, quaint houses to offer you a more modern home. The idea of a huge house came from the fact that I only almost play legacy families (which automatically means 5-8 Sims in the same house at the same time), and I decided on a modern style because it means I could use roofs as terraces to put all the stuff I could place in the garden of a 2x2 lot (telescopes, hot tubs, etc.)
I have tested this house with a Sim and everything is accessible. I spent a lot of time tweaking it, and I just advise you not to try and remove things like walls, foundations or stairs. That would be a very very bad idea. I also used an invisible recolor of the driveway, so if you want to change the flooring, just shift-click the whole thing. Don't remove the tiles however. That would be another very very bad idea.

1 living room
1 hallway (not inconsiderable)
4 bathrooms
4 bedrooms (which can easily be turned into a study/nursery/etc.)
Enough garden space to have a pond, a vegetable patch...
