The Back2Basics range consists of simple, but sufficient starter homes for Sims on a budget. The four objectives for this range were:
  • The live-in Sim should be comfortable in the house without buying any more items.
  • The lot should be as cheap as possible.
  • The lot would still remain stylish.
  • The lot would be compatible for the base game alone, and not include any custom content.

The Back2Basics Family home is large enough for up to two parents and two children Sims. There are four rooms, including a bathroom and two bedrooms.
