Geographist Career Track
It uses the Science track as a base and all levels have chance cards.
Note: all work hours use the 24-hour clock here.
Career Levels
- Farm Worker
- While working towards your Geography degree, you are the lowest of the low in Sim State Farm. Although you can carry out a detailed analysis of the soil, you are not allowed near the combine harvester.
- 6-12
- $260
- M Tue Thur Sat Sun
- Field assisstant
- Since your promotion, you've been taken out of the Parsnip field... and put into a grassy one. Holding poles, digging holes, gauging depths- you seem to be doing all the dirty, wet jobs. Still, it keeps you occupied during the final year of your degree...
- 11-17
- $346
- Tue W Thur Sat Sun
- Off-shore Surveyor
- You're out of the field and into- or rather, over- the Ocean, looking for the ideal location for an oil rig. Although it is nowhere near as physically taxing as your last job, you still travel around a lot, and that jet lag can catch up with you really badly.
- 12-19
- $485
- M Tue Thur Sat Sun
- Head Field worker
- Although it may seem like you've moved backwards, this promotion awards you with more responsibilities- and a team of Field assistants. Keep working hard and you may be able to get a promotion out of the cold, damp world of outside.
- 9-15
- $615
- Tue W Thur Sat Sun
- Geography Teacher
- You're in a warm environment with no mud, but you are now in a high school, pleading Geography's case with Classes full of young people. Keep your Cleaning and mechanical skills up and you may be able to escape back to a less dangerous environment.
- 9-15
- $720
- M Tue W Thur F
- Archeologist
- You're back into safety, but there's now more mud than ever. You're more involved with finding ruins rather than analysing soil, but keep your mechanical skills up to get a promotion to something cleaner.
- 10-17
- $857
- M Tue Thur Sat Sun
- Seismotologist
- What can be more exciting than earthquakes? You now give guest lectures, write articles for the "Sim Scientist" and occasionally appear on the national news explaining the latest earthquake in Strangetown. Keep working on your cleaning and charisma skills and a promotion may be in the pipeline.
- 13-19
- $973
- M W F Sat Sun
- Nature Conservationist
- Working with a high-profile, high-budget pressure group, you stage protests against nuclear warheads in Sim City, Global warming in Takemizu Village, and how too much oil is being taken from its natural place. Keep your mechanical skills high and you may be seeing a promotion soon. Incidentally, have you seen the state of Riverblossom's Glaciers these days?
- 5-10
- $1417
- M W F Sat Sun
- Cartographer
- You're back with the Research center after your stint with the pressure group. You're out of the office and back in the fields too- most of the time. Work on those cleaning and mechanical skills- they're sure to come in handy.
- 10-14
- $2264
- Tue W F Sat Sun
- Geography show presenter
- Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis- nothing is safe from your methodical explanations of the natural and the seemingly unnatural. You still see mud a lot- but in this case, you're usually flying over it in your helicopter, enthusing those who watch "Geography Today" about the wonders of soil.
- 9-14
- $2879
- M Tue Thur F
