Baroque - Chateau of Braunschweig (Germany) - History
The Castle in the center of the city of Brunswick was from 1753 until 8 November 1918 the residence of the Dukes Braunschweigische.

After 1830 this building was burnt down. Until 1841 a second building was build. It was demaged by heavy bombing during the Second World War. Brunswick City Council decided to demolish it in 1960. From 2004 the castle was rebuilt and now serves as a shopping center. The western side consists largely of a full-scale reconstruction of the facade.

This is a reconstruction of the old, the original palace in Braunschweig - there is no shopping center in it.
I think the front looks very good like the original one :-)
the garden is a reconstruction. there are no pictures of the real old garden so i designed it on my own.
The main building also has a dome on its top like the original one.
