Many of the houses available for download and suitable for a large family are on a big lot and have many rooms and long ways to go, but I prefer smaller lots for my families. In my actual family, there’s a teen, a baby and two kids so I decided, to build a family home for myself and everyone else who prefers smaller lots. The lot is 30 x 30 tiles big, but has everything a family needs. The House is fully furnished and decorated, I tested it for a long time and therefore it changed a bit over the time.



In front of the House there’s a parking spot for one car and two bicycles. A swing and a kid’s muffin stall as well as a playground in the back provide entertainment for the kids. On warm afternoons the Sims can take a swim in the pool or read a book in the backyard patio, whatever they want. Behind the house I built a small summer house surrounded by a fence and put in some party stuff like a buffet, a stereo and some tables. If you’re not having a party, you can always lock it.


There’s a one tile wide part of the hallway, but Sims can go through kitchen and dining room to get past one each other. Also if Sims want to pick up toddlers in the nursery they often walk into the hallway. The Couch under the stair isn’t accessible but all the other seating and objects can be used. Sims can access nursery (2 Cribs) and kids room (2 bunk beds) through the living room. Bath, kitchen and dining room are accessible through the hallway. For nearly every skill there’s an object to practice it, for example a cello, a painting easel and a computer upstairs. You can find the parents double bed in the master bedroom upstairs, as shown on the screenshot.
