Greetings Sim Chefs! Welcome to Cast Iron Market!

This is a cc-free community lot that combines a food contest area and grocery store. I originally created it when I got Freetime so that my sims would have a place to compete in cooking competitions (even if they didn't have a pass to the cooking hobby lot). Its gotten extensive playtesting and a makeover since its creation, and now I'd like to share it with you.

The in-game description reads: "Cast Iron Market is a veritable kitchen playground. Here, sim chefs can compete for prizes and simoleans, shop for top quality ingredients, or just stop in to sample what's been cooking!"



The competition area is divided into the red team and the blue team, with the contest table in the center. Behind the contest table is the trophy wall, displaying awards from past victories. Each team's kitchen is fully equipped, and has a backdoor to the alley where they have access to state of the art grilling equipment. (I wanted those grills inside, but my sims kept catching on fire. That's only funny when I'm mad at them.:D) There's a door connecting to the grocery store on the blue team's side of the room.






The Cast Iron Market grocery store is fully stocked on all the fresh, local, organic ingredients your sim chef could possibly want! Sims can also purchase cooking magazines here and sample juices at the juice bar. The bathrooms are on this side of the building as well. Or if sims are just looking for fast junk food, there's some vending machines around back.




Please Note!
Although this lot IS cc-free, the windows (and maybe doors?) might be the wrong color without Numenor's "CEP" Color Enable Package, located HERE. Specifically, you need the CEP Extra file called: CEP-EXTRA_OFBWindows-Fix-for-AL. Those Open for Business windows and doors originally came in a bunch of colors, and then most of the colors got hidden in one of the expansions. Numenor has re-enabled all of the original maxis colors. If you choose not to download the CEP Color Enable Package this lot will still play just fine, but I do highly recommend it.
