1920 Brick Bungalow

Greetings, Simmers!

This house is very near and dear to me.... It was the home of Joe and Anna Ferraro... my mother's parents.

Typical for small bungalow houses of this era, there were 2 entry doors on adjacent walls. One went to the main living space of the house while the other went to the formal parlor. The house evolved, over the years.... Originally, it had 3 bedrooms and no bath. There was an outhouse in the back and a shower in the basement. A "luxurious" bath could be had in a #10 washtub!

During the depression, the parlor was rented out as a sleeping room. During WW2, after the economy had turned around, the parlor was used as the master bedroom and the smallest bedroom was remodeled into a bathroom. After all of the children had grown and gone, the parlor became a parlor once more.....
The enclosed back porch area is where my grandmother had her laundry room and tables filled with African Violets.... She could grow anything. I saw her, on more than one occasion, break a leaf off of a plant and stick it in the dirt... and it would grow for her....

this house is built on a 3x3 lot and costs 69,981 simoleons fully furnished....
