Modelling - Interaction and Skill **UPDATED 3/3/23

Hello! This mod is for Sims to gain modelling skill/experience by practicing in front of a Mirror or getting their photos taken at the "Studio" (where the Backdrop or Floor Marker is placed). The Sim has the option to work as a freelance model, a skillbased career. This mod also creates a photographer role to work with the Sim at the "Studio".

Required Download

• You need NRaas Careers for this mod to work. (NRaas CareerDataSelfEmployed is optional if you want the career to show up from the town hall rabbithole.)
• Opportunity Board v2.0 for gigs.

Instruction

Simple! Place everything in the packages folder. But if you have the old version of the mod, you need to:

1. Remove Mint13_ProStudio_v1.1.
2. Replace Mint13_Modeling_v1.1 with Mint13_Modeling_v2.0.
3. Replace ATS_StudioBackdrop_Modeling with ATS_StudioBackdrop_Modelingv2.0.
4. Replace ATS_FloorMarkerModeling_Fix with ATS_FloorMarkerModeling_v2.0.

Note: I have not tested replacing v2.0 with v1.1 but I am guessing it might cause an issue to the game because of the skillbased career. Just a warning to those not liking the changes I made w/ v2.0. I will remove v1.1 sometime in the future.

Mod Info

• A mod with its own custom skill (info in v1.1), interaction (info in v1.1), opportunities, skillbased career and tone.
• Sims can earn money by checking for gigs using the opportunity board. The "Check for gigs" interaction is available for Sims w/ Level 2 modelling skill. There's a 50% chance of getting a gig when checking the board. Cooldown in between checks is every 4 hours.
• Sims can also earn money and/or gain modelling experience from completing modelling opportunities.
• Developed and tested with game version 1.67.
• Just like any other mod with a custom skill or career, it's not guaranteed 100% safe to uninstall. Use at your own risk.

  • Currently, there are 8 Photoshoot Types. Active Sims need to be at a certain level to unlock it as listed below:
    Lingerie, Commercial, Swimwear, Glamour and Fashion- Available @ Level 2 but you have to check the opportunity board to get the gig and get paid (freelance model or not).
  • Sims get the "Feeling Glamorous" custom moodlet after photoshoot. Portrait , Commercial, Glamour, Lingerie, Swimwear and Fashion has its own moodlet.
  • Photoshoot loop time in Sim-minutes= 40
  • Relationship bump with photographer= 10 2

  Skill (Tuning)

  • Number of hours to complete Amateur Model, Professional Model and Supermodel challenges
    72 60 hours for Professional
    200 150 hours for Super Model.

Skillbased Career

Career Info
Sims in the Freelance Model career earn promotions based on the amount of money earned by doing photoshoots, walking on runways and completing opportunities.

• Sims with level 1 modelling skill can "Register as Self Employed" at Cityhall (with NRaas CareerDataSelfEmployed installed).
• Once registered, the Sim can check their online portfolio on their Phone. There are 3 new phone interactions:
  1. Update Portfolio- Only increases Social Networking skill for now.
  2. Check Messages- This is where you can check for any gig offers hourly. There's a 40% chance you get an offer every time you check your messages. You will see a notification and a moodlet when you receive a gig. Make sure you get to the gig before the time runs out. It is set at 1 1/2 Sim days.
  3. Transfer Money- Transfer earnings when you receive a "Transfer Earning" moodlet after completing a modelling opportunity.
• There are 5 levels for this career:

• Get a gig by:
  1. Checking the job board or portfolio messages.
     
     
     *Gigs you get from the job board are #'s 4-8
     *Gigs you get from checking your portfolio messages are #'s 2-8
     
  2. Going to auditions (rabbithole).
     
     
     Theatre (Maxis Model Management)
     Your Sim can only audition once a day. Once they get a gig, they can attend the Photoshoot or Runway in the Theatre.

     1. Audition for Photoshoot
        • Business Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8AM-4PM
        • Duration: Sim will be in the rabbithole for 60 sim minutes
        • Sim has a 50% chance of getting a rabbithole photoshoot gig
        • Sim receives a notification and a "Got a Photoshoot Gig" Moodlet if audition is successful.
     2. Audition for Runway
        • Business Hours: Tuesdays to Fridays from 8AM-4PM
        • Duration: Sim will be in the rabbithole for 60 sim minutes
        • Sim has a 30% chance of getting a rabbithole runway gig
        • Sim receives a notification and a "Got a Runway Gig" Moodlet if audition is successful.
     3. Attend Photoshoot
        • Business Hours: Mondays to Saturdays from 8AM-4PM
        • Duration: Sim will be in the rabbithole for 90 sim minutes
        • Pay: Basing on modelling, athletic and social networking skill.
        • Skill improves during the show and the time gets added to the skill's journal pose count.
     4. Attend Runway
        • Business Hours: Mondays to Saturdays from 10AM-4PM
        • Duration: Sim will be in the rabbithole for 180 sim minutes
        • Pay: Basing on modelling and athletic skill.
        • Skill improves during the show and the time gets added to the skill's journal pose count.

     Business and Journalism (Wolff Stock Studio)
     Your Sim can only audition once a day. If successful, the photoshoot is done right away and you get paid after leaving the rabbithole. This gig is easier to get but the pay is low.
     

     1. Sim has a 95% chance of getting a successful photoshoot gig.
     2. Duration: Sim will be in the rabbithole for 90 sim minutes
     3. Pay: Basing on modelling skill level.
• There are no assigned outfits for this career.

Opportunities

There are currently 12 skillbased opportunities:

*On timeout, Sim will get the "Model Opportunity Fail" moodlet.
*Freelance models will receive a moodlet to transfer earnings using their phone for completing a model opportunity and is given 24 hours to do so. When time runs out, the money gets donated to charity.

Career Tone

I added a custom career tone in the script. You can use it if you have or made a custom modelling career (rabbithole). Copy the FullClassName: MintMod.MyCareerTone.ModelTone, mintmodel and Skill: MintModModelSkill and paste it to wherever it needs to be in the Tone _XML. When using this tone, the modelling skill improves and the time the tone is used reflects on the skill's journal pose count. The tone cancels when the Sim's energy is low.

Tuning Info

Some might find that the pay/earning for the skillbased career or opportunity or the chance of getting a gig is too low or too high. You can change the values using Nraas Retuner or S3Pe. (Pay value: 1- infinity; Gig value: between 0-1, 0 means no chance and 1 means 100% chance of getting a gig)
Note: Keep in mind, you get more money if you improve your modelling, athletic or social networking skill (refer to career info -> get a gig by-> rabbithole audition interaction).
