Supernatural Hunter and Vampire Coven Careers
This mod adds two new custom Supernatural-themed careers to the game: A Supernatural Hunter Career and a Vampire Coven Career. Both careers have ten levels each and both careers have two branches.
There are those of us that know there is more to the world than meets the eye: Sorcerers, blood-sucking vampires, rampaging werewolves during the full moon. Only a select few can see through the government cover-ups to see the truth, and more importantly the danger, hiding in plain sight all around us in the guise of Supernatural Sims. For those brave souls that want to do something about this danger, the Supernatural Hunter Organisation is always looking for new members. Founded three centuries ago in Moonlight Falls, the Supernatural Hunter Organisation (or S.H.O.) is an order devoted to the protection of regular Sim-kind through the careful control and extermination of any occult threat deemed too great. The Organisation is not entirely opposed to Supernaturals, however: Occult Sims are freely allowed to join, and for those who prefer a less violent approach there is always the path of the Supernatural Scientist, whom seek to study the Occult and learn it secrets, for the betterment of Sim-kind. – Supernatural Hunter Career Description
So you wish to join the Vampire Coven? The Vampire Coven is simply one small part of the much larger Vampiric Empire, a worldwide power that exists secretly beneath regular society. From the secretive Coven bases in Moonlight Falls to the business empire curated by the Vampires dwelling in Bridgeport, the Empire maintains control over almost all vampires across the world. Although non-vampires are allowed membership of the coven, progression for them is often much harder compared to their vampiric compatriots. Still, if you've got enough ambition (and the wits to avoid those dreaded vampire slayers long enough) you could become a powerful Vampire Lord. This particular Coven base has been founded in the catacombs beneath the local Mausoleum, and in these dark halls you will learn untold secrets. – Vampire Coven Career Description
Rabbitholes: The Supernatural Hunter career is situated in the Science Lab rabbithole, while the Vampire Coven career is situated in the Mausoleum rabbithole.

Level 1: Conspiracy Theorist
Wages: §44 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
It's frankly demeaning to be dealing in conspiracies, but if you want to get the attention of the Supernatural Hunters Organisation you sadly have little choice. By bombarding them with phone calls all day, doing amateur detective work on a freelance basis and spying on the local Supernatural population, you may be able to gather together a portfolio of enough evidence to present to a local Hunter in order to get your foot in the door of the Organisation. There are far worse conspiracies to believe in than Vampires, Mummies and Ghosts, to be fair.
Level 2: Lab Tech
Wages: §53 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
Your commitment to the less than glamorous side of science has garnered you a position as a Lab Tech. It's time to earn that lab coat and broaden your horizons. Beware of flammable materials, radioactive mutagens, and sharp instruments as you progress deeper into the workings of the laboratory. In order to progress in the Supernatural Hunters Organisation you need to show a level of scientific aptitude and show the bosses that you can be trusted with a variety of mundane and arcane equipment. Just don’t pay too much attention to the stories of Lab Techs being used as test subjects for a variety of Occult processes and rituals…
Level 3: Occult Artifact Collector
Wages: §63 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
You've been given a position in the Supernatural Hunters Organisation! Well, it's a low-paid and menial one, but it's a stepping stone to where you want to go. You've been placed in one of the lower offices, in the dingy basement. Here you are tasked with collecting, analysing and cataloguing any of the various artifacts that are brought in by both Supernatural Hunters and Scientists during hunts. It's long, boring work, spending hours in this under-lit office scraping the dirt off of antique vases or trying to work out how to remove the curse on an ancient dagger. Of course, there are always dangers involved. Cut yourself with the wrong cursed dagger or break the wrong vase and you could bring catastrophe upon the whole department, which probably explains the suspiciously-high mortality rate of Occult Artifact Collectors, many of whom have simply opened a spellbook at the wrong page and suddenly found themselves opening a portal to hell. Just keep your eyes open and you'll stay safe.
Level 4: Cryptozoologist
Wages: §40 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience and subculture that searches for and studies unknown, legendary, or extinct animals whose present existence is disputed or unsubstantiated, particularly those popular in folklore, such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster or Yeti, which cryptozoologists refer to these entities as cryptids. Although the entire subject is kind of viewed as insane pseudo-science by the scientific community, you need to ingratiate with this… frankly eccentric group of scientists in the Organisation if you want to progress any further. Cryptozoologist principles can often have a clear connection with Supernatural activity, and the two so often overlap that you spend your work-day combing over old news reports and listening to crank calls from kooky citizens claiming to have seen a monster on the way to work. This information is passed to the Hunters who decide which reports are of genuine Supernatural activity and which are the result of an overactive imagination.
Level 5: Occult Investigator
Wages: §117 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
You've entered the Investigation Division of the Hunters Organisation, and what a position to be in! The Investigators are crucially important in finding out where dangerous Supernatural activity is occurring and then passing that information onto the Hunters. Think of them as the eyes and ears of the organisation; while the Cryptozoologists are viewed as well-meaning but ineffective conduits of information, you are the funnel that sifts through the endless misinformation to find the real Supernatural threats before they can become an issue for the general public. It's important that you hone your scientific skills as you'll need them for whatever path you take next in the Organisation.
These levels branch off from Level 5 of the "Supernatural Hunter" Career
Level 6: Occult Detective
Wages: §138 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
The next step up from the Occult Investigator is the Detective: You are now out on the streets, nose to the ground on the hunt for dangerous Supernatural Activity. Although your actual work in the field will largely be restricted to observing suspicious behaviour and reporting it to the Hunters, you are providing them with key intel that will help to keep them alive in their work. As you creep down the cold, moon-lit streets of the city following a suspicious-looking Vampire or follow up on leads of a rampaging Werewolf in the area, being an Occult Detective carries with it many of the same risks of being a Hunter but without the benefit of having the flashy weapons to back yourself up.
Level 7: Supernatural Hunter
Wages: §163 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
Finally! The Organisation has recognised your talent and has agreed to give you licence to work as a Supernatural Hunter. The Supernatural Hunter Organisation has protected humanity from the dangers of Supernaturals for hundreds of years, and wherever the shadow of an occult threat hangs over the population the Hunters will be there to exterminate it and restore balance. Of course, it's not an easy job, and countless Hunters have laid down their lives in the line of duty, so you must train yourself well for any and all threats that could arise. Supernatural Hunters wield a vast array of weaponry, including stakes, silver-tipped crossbow bolts, anti-magical blades and enhanced armour. All of these are provided by the diligent efforts of the Steampunk Laboratory, which manufactures all of the nasty weapons that you will need to wield in your grim work. In a job where an infected bite or well-timed spell can mean the end, it's more important than ever to train to your physical and mental peak.
Level 8: Vampire Slayer
Wages: §193 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 10PM to 3AM
Of the many threats faced by Supernatural Hunters, perhaps none is more feared than the Vampire: Impossibly fast when provoked, they can be equally as deadly when moving in the shadows, controlling politics by the hidden strings of seductive promises of power. To counter them, the Hunters have spent decades perfecting a vast array of anti-Vampire weaponry, but even with the best tools it's often not enough. You have been drafted into a special Anti-Vampire unit of Hunters, which has noticably few members: Many inexperienced Vampire Slayers meet their end at the hands of these lords of the night, and worst still many of them turn to the other side, bewitched by promises of power and eternal life before becoming servants of a Vampiric Coven. As a Vampire Slayer, you must show all Vampires that pose a threat no mercy, for your position has a notoriously-short life expectancy, and if you get bitten, make sure to hide your condition or else your colleagues will be the ones taking you down.
Level 9: Dawn’s Protector
Wages: §284 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 10PM to 3AM
The nickname of "Dawn’s Protector" is given to any Supernatural Hunter that has exterminated at least one Vampire, Werewolf, Witch, Fairy and Mummy each. They are the rarest of Supernatural Hunters, pseudo-legendary warriors who know the weaknesses of each Occult and have mastered the arts of exploiting these weaknesses. Working closely with the church of SimNation, these Hunters use blessed weapons that give them an added advantage against the unholy foes that they fight, and use the vast might of Steampunk Science to maintain the edge in the endless war against Supernatural Tyranny, especially with the Vampire Empire and Dark Academy continuously waging a shadowy war against your Organisation.
Level 10: Supernatural Exterminator
Wages: §463 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
As the newly-elected leader of the Supernatural Hunter Organisation, you are known as the Exterminator. Countless dangerous Occults have fallen ad your hands, and although the task has garnered you an endless number of enemies across all Occult communities, you know that your efforts have saved countless lives from a horrible fate. The Hunters look to you as their inspiration and as their leader, and you know that your Organisation remains the last line of defence against the most deadly enemies of Sim-kind, such as the Vampire Empire and the Dark Academy. If either of these dark powers are to be stopped in their wicked designs, it will be at either your hand or at the hand of one of your Hunters, for years of slaying the arcane, the undead and the heretic have given you the skillset to eliminate any Supernatural Threat with extreme prejudice.
These levels branch off from Level 5 of the "Supernatural Hunter" Career
Level 6: Steampunk Gadget Fabricator
Wages: §140per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
You've forgone the temptation of weapons and violence in favour of a more scientific approach: studying the occult rather than destroying it. However, you still need to curry favour with the Supernatural Hunters Organisation if you wish to gain access to their extensive resources. You've been given access to the Steampunk Laboratory: A place where amazing science can occur, but in this case you've been put on the Weapons Manufacturing Team. You'll be constructing both weapons and handy gadgets for the Supernatural Hunters to use on their missions, including crossbows, explosives, stakes and other useful devices that could mean the difference between life and death in the field. The Hunters need the best equipment possible in order to do their jobs, so make sure to keep your skills with a wrench and tool-kit well honed, which might mean that you need to start tinkering with whatever junk you can find.
Level 7: Steampunk Scientist
Wages: §187 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
"Steampunk Science" is an often misunderstood or mocked area of science, but Steampunk Scientists are the masters of developing newfound technologies in the hunt against Supernatural Creatures. Rapid-fire crossbows, Steam Cannons and UV Light Shields are just some of the gizmos that Steampunk Scientists have dreamt up over the years. Often working out of secluded (and frankly dangerous) laboratories, such as in Midnight Hollow, a smart Steampunk Scientist is an invaluable tool for any scientific organisation that doesn't wish to adhere to a more rigid, traditional structure. Just be careful with your inventions: Countless numbers of Steampunk Scientists have been lost due to simple errors that cascaded into catastrophic, (often explosive) results. Not to mention the rogue Steampunk Scientists that use their knowledge for evil and have required elimination by the Supernatural Hunters.
Level 8: Supernatural Scientist
Wages: §224 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
As one of the more senior workers in the lab you've moved beyond getting elbow-deep in grease and gears, and now your attention is focussed on the more escoteric and arcane studies. A Supernatural Scientist studies the occult from any and all materials they can get their hands on: ancient books, lost tomes, relics and even direct contact with the Occult. The latter activity is difficult, both from the inherent danger associated with engaging with many Occults (such as Vampires) but also from the suspicion that it can engender from the Supernatural Hunters. Engaging with Supernaturals is not against the rules of the Organisation, however it is often viewed as highly suspect behaviour and some of the more hardline members may begin to mistrust you. Nevertheless, the data you are collecting is invaluable, and the scientific advancements you can bring to humankind from engaging with Supernaturals is more than worth the risk, from new methods of energy generation to stopping ageing.
Level 9: Metaphysical Manipulator
Wages: §269 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
The terrifying reality for the Supernatural Scientist is NOT when the discoveries will end... it's how far you are willing to go, and what price will be paid. Countless stories of Supernatural Scientists have ended with greed or curosity overcoming a person's reason and causing them to unleash powers which they had no control over. Eldritch Entities, demonic pacts and horrors beyond human comperehension are just some of the unwanted side-effects of working in this job, and the Supernatural Scientists that died are considered the LUCKY ones. The unlucky ones suffer a fate far worse than death, with either their mind or body (or both) being horrifyingly mangled by the unspeakable horrors they had seen. Aleister Krummly of Moonlight Falls was possibly the most famous Supernatural Scientist and in his writings he speaks of unfathomable Eldritch horrors that he saw in his research. One story states that after seeing such horrors, Krummly lost his mind and left town, never to be seen again.
Level 10: Reality Shaper
Wages: §404 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 9AM to 1PM
The Reality Shaper is the most powerful, and most dangerous, scientist you could ever meet. Often driven mad with power, many Supernatural Scientists succumb to the dark urges offered to them by their years of studying the arcane and go mad. Many more become criminals, or use their new knowledge for ill. Only a few have the mental fortitude and strength of character to resist and become something much, much more: Through your studies you have learned how to cross between the physical and metaphysical worlds, how to manifest energies and shape it to your will. By combining the powers of the Scientific and Supernatural realms the potential is almost infinite, and through this study you will unravel every secret that was ever hidden from mankind. And all of that power will be yours.
Level 1: Vampire’s Thrall
Wages: §17 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur - Work Hours: 7AM to 2PM
A Thrall is a servant (often a human) that serves Vampire Lords in the coven. Often treated poorly, and usually fed upon for their sweet Plasma, Thralls posess a wretched position in Coven society. However, if you want to advance you've got to start somewhere. As a Thrall your days will mainly be spent either doing menial tasks for your Vampire Superiors, or else being used as a walking blood bank for thirsty soldiers returning from battle.
Level 2: Crypt Guardsman
Wages: §28 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 7AM to 2PM
One of the most dreary positions in the Coven, second only to being a Thrall, Crypt Guardsmen are thralls that have been selected to guard the tombs of high-ranking Vampires during the daytime, which is when they slumber. It will be endless hours of standing in front of crypts, making sure they are undisturbed, but you will also need to run basic Coven security detail. Attacks from Vampire Slayers and Supernatural Hunters can be common, and many Thralls and Crypt Guardsmen lay down their lives in the first line of defence. Just keep your weapon sharp and keep an eye open at all times, as Thralls that perform poorly (or are simply unlucky) can often be used as a food supply for hungry Vampire overseers, or worse, turned into zombie soldiers for the horde.
Level 3:Vampire Army Infantryman
Wages: §32 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 11PM to 6AM
The Vampire Empire operates alongside a vast underground network of Thralls that have been armoured and equipped as infantry. Now that you have been chosen to join the Vampire Empire's army, you will serve in many battles against both human forces and Supernatural Hunters that seek to destroy the coven. The casualty rate is mortifyingly high, but the Vampire Lords don't consider lost Thralls much of a cost, since there are always plenty more ambitious humans to take their place and serve. Although many Vampire Covens tend to use Zombies as their main infantry force, it is often preferred to use human Thralls in their place. Although zombies are much cheaper (and easier to create en masse) they can be difficult to control and require significant attention. Conversely, humans can always be relied upon to serve according to the desires of their greed. Indeed, the promise of conferred Vampirism and eternal life is often enough to draw scores of humans to serve as thralls in the Coven's service.
Level 4: Vampire Army Sergeant
Wages: §40 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fr - Work Hours: 11PM to 6AM
You now lead a small group of soldiers in the Vampire Empire's army. As a sergeant you inch closer and closer to your goal of being turned (if you're not already a Vampire). Just keep the men under your command in line and continue your duties of guarding the Coven and serving in battle when you are called into service.
Level 5: Vampire Administrator
Wages: §80 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 11PM to 6AM
Now that you've finally finished your military service, you've been promoted to the highest position of Thrall: the Administrator. Coven Administrators manage Vampire Law and Coven affairs across the surrounding area, making sure that local Vampire Groups keep their affairs in line with overall Empire authority. Another of your roles will be giving orders to the Thralls of your coven, as well as managing both monetary and plasma tithes being paid by the local Vampire population. Although there are hundreds of Vampire Covens and the Empire claims authority over all of them, in fact many Covens are independent and self-governed. The Empire, however, is constantly trying to subsume the independent Covens into it, and Administrators are a key part of either the diplomatic process... or the process of inflitrating and weakening a rival Coven from within.
Level 6: Vampire Spy
Wages: §130 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 11PM to 6AM
Military might is not the only tool that keeps the Vampire Empire alive; Subterfuge and spycraft are also powerful tools at the Empire's disposal. Vampire Spies creep through the shadows, ensuring that the plans of meddling Vampire Slayers are foiled, and even engaging in ruthless assassin work for political purposes. The streets of Bridgeport are always crawling with Vampire Spies at night-time, hidden from sight either on rooftops or in the shadows of alleyways. These spies ensure that the Coven (and the Empire at large) both maintain a significant power base in the area and remain hidden by eliminating any targets that could find out of our existence.
Level 7: Vampire Knight
Wages: §172 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 11PM to 6AM
You've been knighted as a fearsome Vampire Knight: The most powerful Vampires know that in any Coven, power struggles will inevitably occur, and it is those that can command the Thralls, Infantrymen and (most importantly) the Knights that will seize control of the Coven. Vampire Knights are the powerful military fist of the Empire, used to crush any human interlopers, or even rival Vampire Covens, if they become too much of a threat. Your skills as a Knight will serve you well in the upcoming battles against Supernatural Hunters that threaten to destroy the Coven. The ancient set of Vampiric Knight armour that was gifted to you serves as a symbol of your status in Coven society.
These levels branch off from Level 7 of the "Vampire Coven" Career
Level 8: Vampire Baron
Wages: §180 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9PM to 4AM
Vampires know that often a subtle word in the right ear can be as effective in gaining power as any blade. Therefore you've went down the political route, hoping to seize control of the Coven via more diplomatic methods. Barons are the lowest rank of Vampire Nobility, but with their voting powers they can be a great political threat if they work en masse. Keep an eye on your fellow Barons, as their endless ambition may turn against you at any time.
Level 9: Vampire Duke
Wages: §277 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 9PM to 4AM
A Vampire Duke is the leader of their local Coven, and there is one Duke or Duchess in charge of each Coven in the Empire. As you have been elected this Coven's Duke, you will oversee the affairs of all Vampire kind in the local area. This will require you to demand respect from the Thralls, Knights and nobility under your command, so don't show any weakness. If you do, a particularly powerful Knight or even another Coven could take everything you have from you in a well-timed coup. Not to mention those blasted Supernatural Hunters that constantly seek the destruction of your coven, testing your military forces to their limit.
Level 10: Vampire Emperor
Wages: §460 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 7PM to 2AM
Your coup against the reigning Emperor was successful, and with the help of the local Blood Knights and their subservient infantry, you were able to take the throne and seize control of the Vampire Empire for yourself! Now you have total power over every Vampire Coven in the world, the work begins to make the remaining loyalist Covens who still do not recognise your reign fall into line. Also those Supernatural Hunters must be dealt with, which will involve the spilling of much blood on both sides. There is no time to lose! Your imperial rule must be unchallenged, as it's a long way down from the top.
These levels branch off from Level 7 of the "Vampire Coven" Career
Level 8: Vampire Blood Knight
Wages: §180 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 7PM to 2AM
The Blood Knight, also known as the Plasma Knight, is an elite variant of the Vampire Knight. The first Blood Knights were created in Moonlight Falls over a millennium ago, and they serve as the strongest military forces in the Empire. Covens often try to limit the number of Knights promoted to Blood Knights, since giving a Vampire that much power is a recipe for disaster, and wars between Covens are often won by the strongest of Blood Knights. Wearing the characteristic scarlet plate armour of the ancient Vampire Kingdoms, you serve the Empire as a fearsome instrument of the Emperor's will, striking down Thrall rebellions and eliminating Hunter attacks before they can threaten the Coven.
Level 9: Vampire Night Marshall
Wages: §277 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - Work Hours: 7PM to 2AM
A Night Marshall is a Blood Knight that has been elected as the leader of the local Coven's military forces. This includes every Thrall soldier and Knight that serves beneath you, as well as the rest of the Blood Knights. Although you cannot truly ever trust your brethren for fear that they might one day usurp you, they serve as your powerful weapon, the iron fist of the Vampiric Empire that is used to destroy the Emperor's enemies. As the right hand of the Emperor, your power seems to know no limits, and anything that you want could be for the taking...
Level 10: Vampire Warlord
Wages: §450 per hour - Work Days: Mon, Wed, Fri - Work Hours: 7PM to 2AM
You decided that the current Emperor was too weak to rule, so you took the throne for yourself. Casting the former Emperor down dead on the steps of their own throne room, you have turned the Empire into a military dictatorship. Your regime will bring all of the dissonant Covens into line, under your singular will. If the Knights and Dukes do not submit to your iron fist you will destroy them, and your loyal Blood Knights will ensure this. Also the Supernatural Hunters will now become the hunted; They will know what it feels like to flee in terror from the invincible Vampire horde. Throughout history, Vampire Warlords have been rare, but their names are etched into the blood-soaked pages of history.
The Supernatural Hunter career branches once after level five, where you can go into either the Hunter or Scientist branch. The Supernatural Hunter Career generally focusses on the Athletics, Logic, Inventing, Alchemy and Handiness skills.
The Vampire Coven career branches once after level seven, where you can go into either the Monarchy or Vampire Knight branch. The Vampire Coven Career generally focusses on the Athletics, Logic, Alchemy and Charisma skills.
Both careers each have their own uniforms and an array of different opportunities, some of which depend on which career branch you choose.

Install Instructions
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
