The Common Sim's Community Townhomes CC & CC Free Versions

Hello again everyone! After a particularly grueling semester I'm finally back for the summer with some builds I've finished. For some time now I've been in a consistent apartment lot obsession as this is one of three new apartment lots I've finished. There are still many more ideas I plan to execute in-game so standby! :D

Versions Available

There are two versions of this build available for download, one with CC and one without. The only CC included in the CC version of the build are Argon's wall paint conversations from The Sims Life Stories, present in three of the four available units. This is the version that is featured in the floorplan photos. The NOCC version simply has the same wall paint in every unit. This wall paint can be seen in the unfurnished interior photos.

Although differing wall paints seems like such a small reason to create two versions of the same build, I really think the different paint colors make each unit feel unique. Furthermore, I figured the included CC was pretty popular, so most simmers probably already have it in their game.

About the Build

For these townhomes I really wanted to achieve that painfully generic, arguably ugly, common man's suburban townhome, look. The inspo image I found and used was perfect and exactly what I was going for. The home feels too small yet spacious with small functional spaces like the backyard, living room and dining room, and yet it has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms with private toilets. The master bedroom even has a walk-in closet. As a cherry on top, I've of course included a laundry room off the kitchen and a spacious second floor landing!

I really wanted to focus on the "community" aspect of the build, so I've included a full spacious playground for children, a small community hub that includes a gym and party area for birthdays, get-togethers, and landlord weekend bashes. There is also a public pool, with a grilling spot and juice keg for some summer fun! If your sim prefers a more private outdoor space, there is a gazebo on the left side of the lot fitting for chess and reading.

FYI

These townhomes include some details such as trims and vents that cannot normally be purchased by the player once the lot has been zoned as an apartment lot and will disappear upon rental. To keep these details, along with all alarms, phones, sprinklers, etc., present upon renting I highly suggest renting the apartment furnished through testingcheats or the use of thetechnosim's Enable "Rent Furnished Apartment" Outside of Debug Mode mod, which unhides the option in game. If you're unaware of how to access the "Rent Furnished Apartment" option through testingcheats, simply activate the cheat "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true", shift-click the apartment door of the unit you wish to rent and select "Rent Furnished Apartment".
