Now now, don't get too excited, fellow Simmer. I haven't managed to break EA's coding behind any of the base game removed traits, and we'd probably never be able to, but who knows?

Getting back on track here, these are five removed traits that I managed to "restore". Sounds pretty exciting so far, right? Some traits are replacements of in-game LTR's with some added tweaks so that they feel more like actual traits, while others are just STBL edits to match the original name/description of the traits. Told you not to get too excited! But hey, at least I managed to restore their original icons as well, so now you have a nice-looking and more varied CAS traits list to stare at.

List of renamed traits

No Sense of Humor -> Boring: Boring Sims spout yawn inducing conversation topics that put others to sleep. Their jokes are terrible and they don't appreciate the funny jokes of others. Oftentimes they are satisfied doing nothing.

Reason behind editing: I barely if ever found myself creating Sims with this trait. That and I thought the original trait name (Boring) was more fitting, given that this trait is not specifically centered around whether your Sim sucks at telling jokes or not. Sims with this trait can bore to death other Sims until they pass out, or even be accused of being boring. See where I'm going with this?

Inappropriate -> Rude: Rude Sims love to mock and insult others with harsh words. A sneer is often found on their faces, and apologies never escape their lips.

Reason behind editing: More straight-forward than its official trait name. In fact, I often found myself scrolling past the Inappropriate trait many times, despite being a really cool and complex trait.

(Bonus) Couch Potato -> Lazy: Same description, only replaced with 'Lazy'

Reason behind editing: In my opinion, TS4 did better by simply calling this trait 'Lazy'. Couch potato? 2009 much?

List of replaced LTR's

Never Dull (Base Game) -> Conversationalist (Social Trait): Conversationalists love a good conversation with family and friends. They can keep almost any conversation from going south.

Trait Features: Just like the original LTR, Conversationalist Sims can repeat the same social interaction over and over again, and Sims won't ever get bored. I also tweaked the trait so that Conversationalist Sims are more likely to be friendly or social to other Sims and read autobiographies. Available from birth. Conflicts with Charismatic, Loser and Socially Awkward.

Stone Hearted (World Adventures) -> Quick Recovery (Lifestyle Trait): Broken promises will no longer lead to disappointment. Get back on your feet and go!

Trait Features: Functions just like the original LTR. No extra features added here. Also, not all Sims who quickly get over bad things have to be called stone hearted, now do they? Available from birth. Requires World Adventures.

Master of Seduction (Late Night) -> Wanton (Social Trait): Wanton Sims are masters of seduction and never feel the pain of romantic rejection. Their romantic advances always succeed.

NOTE: After taking a deep look through the game files, Wanton seems not to have its own description attached to it, so I just copy-pasted the description from the LTR and modified it a bit.

Trait Features: Just like the original LTR, Wanton Sims seem to be better at seducing others than anyone else. I also tweaked the trait so that Wanton Sims are more likely to use romantic interactions automatically and read Romance novels. Available for teens and above. Conflicts with Flirty, Shy and Unflirty. Requires Late Night.

The mod has been tested and created with Patch 1.67 and may or may not work with 1.69 or versions older than 1.67, since I'm not sure if EA made any changes to the 'Traits' XML. It will conflict with any other mod that does changes to the same XML, so mods that unhide hidden traits or enable more traits for more ages will conflict with my mod.

Known Issues

None that I'm aware of. Keep in mind that since my mod replaces the LTR's mentioned above, it's safer to either play in a save where none of these were used, or manually remove them from ALL Sims via Twallan's Master Controller before adding my mod, just to be sure no save game corruption takes place.

It's best to place my mod under Mods/Overrides.
