The Lake House is a sprawling deep woods mansion built on a lakeside lot. Inspired by a previous build of mine (Deep Woods Retreat), the Lake House features no shortage of architectural and landscaping detail on a 40x30 lot. The home was originally envisioned as a vacation home, but it can be easily used as a main home as well. In all, the Lake house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, five fireplaces, and costs exactly $300,000 Simloans to buy ($2930 to rent).

The first floor has a large foyer, gourmet kitchen, dining room, large angled 2-story foyer, skills room, home office, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. The kitchen, dining room, and great room flow seamlessly as one in an open concept perfect for entertaining. Meanwhile, the two side living rooms offer secluded opportunities to break off from a main party. The first-floor office can easily be converted to a fifth bedroom if needed. There are several decks surrounding the home on the first floor, allowing for ease of access to the outdoors or just areas to hide away and relax. A large back deck allows for outdoor cooking and dining, as well.

The second floor has four bedrooms, including one currently outfitted for young Sims. Three of the bedrooms share a large bathroom. The Master Suite has a large luxurious bathroom and adjoining master closet. A flex space located just off the staircase is currently set up as a theater room, but can easily be converted to an exercise room, sixth bedroom, or really anything that fits the needs of your Sims. A large hallway overlooks the 2-story Great Room, and leads to a large outdoor upper deck. Finally, the second floor has a centrally-located laundry room.

The grounds of the home are landscaped to the nth degree with a dedicated firepit area, reading and relaxing areas, a hot tub, and area for growing plants. Stone pavers and various decks surround the home for easy 360 degree access to the indoors and outdoors alike.

This home was a blast to build and furnish. I hope your sims are able to create many memories living in a vacation-like setting!
