Sims 3 Package Sorter

Sims 3 Package Sorter is not meant to replace any of the amazing existing tools for this game, but rather compliment them. Maybe you keep complex folder structures to keep your CC organized. And maybe, you also go on massive CC shopping sprees and don't know how you're going to figure out where all those shoes are in the sea of .package files in your Downloads folder.

Sims 3 Package Sorter lets you import individual files, groups of files, folders, and subfloders and quickly determine if something is a dress or a sofa. You can then sort by those category types, Shift+Click the groupings and right click to move them into any folder on your computer. If you have s3pe, you can link to its executable and even right click to open the package in S3PE if you want more detailed information than what S3PS provides.

Supported .package Types

• All CAS types (hair, clothing, face overlays, etc.)
• All Build Mode object types
• All Buy Mode object types
• Patterns
• Sliders
• Presets
• Skintones

* I have only tested with my own CC and everything was properly categorized, however that does not mean something may have been missed.
** Merged packages seem to just pull a random category from one of the packages inside, I'm going to see if I can get it to show more information.

Sometimes when loading folders, S3PS may stop responding and look like it's going to crash. Give it some time and it should bring everything in. If not, just force quit and try again. I was able to load a folder with ~1,200 files with no issue.

Disclaimer
This was made for me, because I was beginning to lose my mind trying to sort all of my CC. The depth of categorization is built to my preferences, and I don't plan on changing much if at all about this tool. I just wanted to share it in case it could save anyone else's sanity. If something is completely borked and I missed it, try to get in touch and I will do my best to address it when I can. Now that my CC is sorted, I have time to actually play the game so I will be busy doing that.
