This charming cape cod home wasn't always known as the 'Blue Cod' cape nor was it always blue. The neighbors recall the previous owners taking an island vacation years ago and falling in love with both the culture and beautiful blue fish, which inspired both the current color and name of the home. Why did they move you ask? Well apparently, they decided to retire to said island to live out their golden years, leaving the lovely cape cod as a token of their joyous times and endless reminiscing to their neighbors~

The home now stands in beautiful condition ready to accommodate a new family who seeks a breezy, beachy atmosphere all year long!

Hello everyone! I present to you this cute cape cod home as my summer season gift! It's out a bit later than I would've preferred (I've picked up a summer job and spent some time recovering from surgery), however I finally had some time to take advantage of a spark of inspiration I had to create a home inspired by summer/beach vibes. I originally wanted to build a home on a beach lot but decided it wouldn't be very player friendly or versatile. Instead, if you'd like the lot to have a beautiful beach/ocean view I recommend placing the lot in Pleasantview across the street from 113 Wright Way. I've included an image below showing what the lot placement would look like.



About the Build

'Blue Cod' cape utilizes an open floorplan, featuring a spacious living room and kitchen with both a bay breakfast nook and formal dining space, as well as a half bath/laundry room. The master bedroom and ensuite are located on the ground floor. The second floor has two bedrooms, an office space/potential 4th bedroom and a full bathroom. There is also a detached garage located at the end of a lengthy driveway. This ensures ample space for your sims car collection!

For some outdoor summer fun your sims can enjoy both the front and back porch and spacious backyard which features a large pool!

FYI

During my playtests I found the breakfast nook to generate quite a few complaints from sims. Each time my sims eventually figured it out after 3-4 complaints and were able to eat in the nook. The most functional spots are the two end seats, the inner seats are a hit or miss. All other items functioned perfectly in my tests.
