Young Ghosts Return

This mod works for 1.121. V1.1.0 is the version you should be using. Older versions of sims 4 are not compatible and not supported. Will work fine with R&L EP

This mod brings back the old days where you can cheat Younger sims to be ghosts. With the Life and death update. The sims team restricted on which ages can be which type of Ghosts. Which made Toddler, Infants, adult pets and baby pets to no longer be ghosts. This mod allows the old days again so they can be ghosts again. In fact ghost traits from packs do not come from the pack. They are base game so no packs are required. There are side effects like stretching from young meteor ghosts doing the death animation. Toddlers walking slow but other then that it works well. Toddlers who have the laughter trait can make people playful like adult. This will also fix certain features like The premade Ghost Dog Captain Whittaker and fix the wishing well issues when you get a Ghost Child from there. I made this mod personally but I had people ask me from places to share it.

It brings the old days. They still can't die but you add the ghost traits with Cheats like the trait equip cheat. MCCC or UI cheats. The traits were enabled for them so all ghost types in the normal game are enabled for them but not death. You just have to add the traits to them with cheats like how it was before Life and death patch. Had a little help from the Forums for this extra info I shared

This mod will never really break in updates. The only time it will need a update when new ghost types get added.

So far all the ghost types up to Enchanted by Nature are available to everyone but only old age for pets.

This mod will conflict with any other mod the overrides the ghost traits. If you want to allow young sims to die. Try the children and Toddlers can die by anything mod instead by MizoreYukii on patreon. If you want more features to choose traits in cas as well. Then More Ghost Types for Children mod has got you covered by meat-ice-creammm but not all ghost types are there for all ages.

I made this mod so I can have all ghost types for all ages.

Update 16/10/2025= I did it and removed the emotional Starvation ghost trait from pets. If you had pets with this trait they will turn to normal. This was not intended since pets as other ghost types do not behave well. The only ghost trait for pets of all ages with this mod is Old age. This should be the only update until new Ghost Types get added or something in this mod breaks which is super unlikely. Happy simming with young Ghosts

Update 19/10/2025= I just wanted to bring this up but just to be safe I did a little reupdate to young ghost return and added the missing fairy occult to the deaths that fairies can die from. It wasn't needed since they die just fine and become ghosts just fine but just to be safe so it doesn't cause issues even though I played for so long with no issues, I added the fairy occult in the occult code list. So update if you can with this one even though it never caused any issues but I just wanted to be safe. This will now hopefully be the last update until needed for new ghost types or it needs fixing which needing fixing should be super unlikely.

Update 29/10/2025= Preparing for patch update
Removed emotional starvation from CAS ghost selection on Pets (Thanks from the help I got with this change)
Added Missing Ghost Traits for Children in CAS selection with the addition of Meteorite and pufferfish. Pufferfish was needed with the fix in the patch but Meteorite wasn't added so I added the fix in this mod. (Thanks from the help I got with this change)
Added Old age for Kids and up in CAS ghost Selection (Thanks from the help I got with this change)
Made it so Pets of ages Puppy, Kitten, Foal and Adult will stay as a ghost in CAS when you age them down from elder thanks to all to help I got with Trait coding. This makes it easier to create young pet ghosts in CAS without extra steps.
All this was done with help from Trait coding for CAS. I got it all down now with easy guidance. Happy simming with Young Ghosts with this update

Update 4/11/2025= prep hotfix
Just a small update to fix missing Ghost CAS options for fairies apart from the emotional starvation ghost. My bad. This should now be the last update for now unless needed for this patch. Sorry is you had missing ghost options for fairies.

Update 28/1/2026 V1.0.1= Needed fix
Fixed Urban Myth Ghost Missing from Younger Sims. I found out why it was missing with help and now fixed it. Young Sims can be the Ghost type now. Thanks to my relative for finding this out. This fix was needed before the update or you have to have waited a long time before the fix. A update will be needed for the patch to add the new rumour death coming to the game via the new pack but will still be usable. As of this Version. The older patches might no longer be compatible as of changes needed with s4s for the new versions.

Update 6/2/2026 V1.1.0= Update for for making the new ghost type compatible.
Added the new ghost type added to the base that is used for the pack but still base game compatible. This update is needed so the game doesn't have problems with the new pack in case deaths don't work and allows all ages to be the ghost type as well. Thanks for your patience.
