Built in the Gilded Age for the business magnate Alastor Strixmoor (né Morley), this modest home accommodates a small family, guests, and a team of service staff. Strixmoor's reputation as an esotericist fuelled rumours about the mansion being host to secret society meetings. Supposedly extensive underground sections were built in secret, open only to a special few.

My first upload It's based on late 19th century Gilded Age mansions, so many of the rooms aren't common anymore.

The Great Hall, the first thing guests see after leaving their coats in the vestibulary.

The salons, petit and grand, are supposed to be for formally receiving important guests. They're filled with the finest decor and paintings in the house to show off. Some historical plans have salons and others have parlors, but as far as I know these serve similar functions, since I never found a mansion with both and parlor can be translated to salon in French.

Sitting rooms are more private places akin to living rooms for the family. The husband and wife have separate bedrooms. Guests can sleep in 7 additional bedrooms (not counting rooms for the staff). These are important because travelling took longer, which meant that many mansions needed to function somewhat like hotels. There is a day nursery for the children to hang out during the day and a night nursery for sleeping, attended by a live-in nurse. The kitchen is on the ground level with the servants' rooms because cooking is for poor people. For entertainment, we have a private library, billiards room, conservatory, and music room. This is still quite a small house compared to some of the real life mansions of the time, so its lacking rooms such as a gymnasium, boudoirs, drawing rooms, galleries, and ballroom.

The Chromatic Tower is an additional construction at the back of the house. Do what you want with it.

This build does not include the basements because I wanted it to be usable as a regular mansion. The painted ceilings by Regal Sims are optional. The grounds around the mansion are supposed to be bigger if not for the maximum lot size, ideally it should be a multi-lot build. I recommend using DouglasVeiga's various service sim mods to make a service staff, and Nraas relativity so it doesn't take hours to traverse the build.
