Quick Overview
This mod contains two new interactable objects: a pottery wheel and kiln.
Ceramics can be crafted on the wheel, and then fired in the kiln with a chosen glaze.
The objects, ceramics, and animations are converted from TS4.
There are quite a few things I would like to develop and make work better, so please read the whole description including future plans before asking questions/making suggestions.

Skill
There is a basic pottery skill, with 5 levels and one tracked stat. As Sims level up, they unlock more ceramics to craft. Sims will raise their skill by using the Pottery Wheel.
Uninstalling skills can cause problems, so if you really want to remove the mod, make sure all sims aren't doing any pottery and remove the skill from all sims with NRaas MasterController first.

Ceramics and Glazes
There are 9 craftable ceramics converted from TS4, each with 10 glazes also from TS4, as well as a 'Bisque Fired' one, which looks like the plain clay but is also recolourable with CASt.

Notes:
- if you have ani's Tea Mod ('A Cup of Tea', the cup and teapot will be functional, though during the interaction they will look like the default 'bisque fired' version
- the teacup and pot do slot onto the tray, but it's a bit fiddly to get the right rotation, because of how it needs to be for the teapot to be functional
- the candle holder is designed to go on the wall, but needs to be slotted onto the wall with a wall object. ATS3's works really well (the last item on the page here)
- the bulbous vase has a slot, so you can put flower arrangements from my flower arranging mod in there

The Interactions
On the Pottery Wheel, sims can:
- make new ceramic
- continue ceramic
- scrap ceramic
- move to kiln
Once they have finished crafting the ceramic, they need to glaze and fire it to complete it by moving it to a kiln. Here they can:
- glaze ceramic (player chooses one, or sim will pick one autonomously)
- scrap ceramic
- collect ceramic (after a few hours in the kiln)
Notes:
- when you collect the ceramic, it will go to your family inventory
- active sims need to collect it from the kiln when it's ready, but inactives will have their ceramics delivered straight to their family inventories.
- the sim that glazes the ceramic will be the ones who get it in the end, so don't let an inactive sim glaze your ceramic if you want to keep it!

Object Details

Tuneable Values
- length of time to craft ceramic (default 2 hours)
- length of time to fire in kiln (default 4 hours)
- setting to show debug notifications (default false)

Adding Ceramics and Glazes

Strings and Translations
The English strings are provided in a text file in the Download section. If you'd like to translate the mod, please translate the parts between the <STR> tags and send me the new text file. Thank you!

Conflicts/Known Issues
- shouldn't be any conflicts, as this only adds things to the game rather than changing anything
- if things aren't working as expected, including if you're trying to add a new ceramic/glaze and it's not working, set kShowDebugMsgs to true in the PotteryLoader XML. This will hopefully give an idea of what's going wrong, and if you get an error message during pottery related gameplay, you can let me know what happened along with the debug message

Files
Install all the files provided:
- zoeoe_PotteryMod.package (main resources including tuning files)
- objects folder (kiln, wheel, animation props)
- ceramics folder (9 ceramic objects)
You can merge them all together if you want!

Future Plans (in a vague order of priority)
- add the rest of the TS4 ceramics
- add the TS2 ceramics
- develop the skill (more levels, tracked stats and skill challenges)
- self-employed career
- make ceramics store info on who crafted them to work better with various things
- improve current and add more animations
- integrated business system for easier selling
- pottery related wishes
- more in-depth/realistic pottery process (e.g clay ingredient, drying out time, learning to throw on wheel, better intermediate prop objects)

Thanks to Desiree, Simsdeogloria, thepancake1, Destrospean, Savanita, bartosz, and no doubt others for testing, coding help, extracting the sims 4 resources, and ideas and feedback!
