The Phoenix Requiem, a graphic novel by Sarah Ellerton (I think I got the name right...). It's addictive. And I'm in love with Jonas.

I LOVE IT. It is amazing. But, you know, Jonas is mine.

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Manhood for Amateurs, Wonder Boys, The Yiddish Policemen's Union, Gentlemen of the Road, Werewolves in their Youth, and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, all by Michael Chabon. The final project for my AP Literature class is to prove the literary merit of a contemporary author, and I'm quite excited to do a paper on him.

Adrian Mole: From Minor to Major by Sue Townsend.
It's the first 10 years of his diaries, including previously unpublished extracts. This must be the 5th time I've read the Adrian Mole books. They are just so GOOD.

I'm reading: In Stitches by Dr.Nick Edwards.

Amusing Book, (:

I read the Adrian Mole books years ago and LOVED them! They're just so funny, the way he tries to thinks of himself as an intellectual but is a bit dim a lot of the time is hilarious. I really should read them again.

I'm halfway through The Shining (need to keep going with that), a few chapters into 1984, a few pages into Fatal Voyage by Kathy Reichs, I also started The Host by SMeyer (mainly to see if it was any better than Twilight, but haven't got far). I keep picking books up and starting them then moving onto something else without finishing the previous one. I finished The Lovely Bones this morning; that was good, very sad but not in a weepy way.

Right now I'm reading Evermore by, again, someone I don't know.

meggie272 24th Mar 2010 10:25 AM

On top of all those books I posted before, I'm also reading bits of Real Girls' Stories. It's part of the girlosophy series and it's gorgeous.

Shiver, by Maggie Stiefvater. It is an amazing book. I'm addicted! It sort reminds me of twilight with the whole girl falls in love with supernatural boy thing. Except twilight is horrible and this book is fantastic! Unlike twilight, it has a wonderful, exciting plot, likeable characters and the writing is actually good. In the past 24 hrs i have read 340 pages of the 370-390 page book (cant remember exactly) and i have been at school for twelve of those hours, plus 4 hrs for getting to and from school

Uglies (for the 6th time)- This is an amasing trilogy. So awesome. They might be making a movie about it which is really cool.
Harry Potter and the goblet of fire (for the 7th time)- It's Harry potter. I just love these books. I swear I'm a freak
Leftovers (for the 4th time)- great book. I love it. so real and dark.
The giver- This is a new book. I am in love with it. It's a book about a distopia where everything is the same, and all colors are gone. It's really good

Zinthos 24th Mar 2010 8:39 PM

I'm still reading Adrian Mole, but now I'm also reading Alice in Wonderland.
Because I've never actually read past chapter 2 - I just gave up and watched the 3 movie versions I have on video.

Also, I really like The Giver. It's quite creepy, but wonderful.

Unfortunately, I'm not really reading at the moment. I don't have much tiiiime anymore, and the spare time I do have I spend writing instead :S But I had to read Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey, and it was amazing. I highly recommend it, even if you aren't normally a fan of Australian literature.
