Yeah, the director of Coraline is Henry Selick, that also directed TNBC. Maybe that's why you confused it E

Yes, he was the co-producer. And also, the film is based on his drawings and a poem of him

victor (the corpse bride)

jack and sally (the nightmare before christmas)
beetlejuice

My favs are:

- Sweeney by Johnny
- Ichabod Crane by Johnny
- The mad hatter by Johnny

Hmmm, Nellie rocks because she has tons of love to give, and I like pie.:D. Emily, because she has love as well. Plus butterflies are very peaceful and beautiful. Sweeney because he makes evil look good as well as look crazy. Edward because he's like a sweeter Sweeney. Plus, I'm a real lemonade and 'lemonade' hater as well, bleh. Ichabod becuse I'm really into science and forensics, and Im quite the arachniphob as well. Sally because she's a great character, fragile but does what's needed to save 'poor Jack.' I'll just say I love TONS of Tim characters because they're all great.

My favorite character is Vincent ... He so cute,dark,dramatic, a little bit pathetic... :D

Well, I love Edward. And Johnny's performance is so delicate and all the little things he does.. perfection.

Mine is Emily. I mean like, wow she's the most beautiful corpse ever, and her voice by helena bonham carter is also absolutely fantastic.
I also like victor van dort. and also bonejangles..=D

My original favorite is willy wonka, but hey, willy wonka is not really tim burton's original creation. willy wonka is from roald dahl's magical imagination. sooo...I'd stick with the emily choice. But tim burton's version of willy wonka is 10x superb better than the other previous willy wonkas.

I know I'm at the back end of this discussion but I only just found it and adore Tim Burton's creativity. Even though my cat's name is Ichabod, I have to totally agree with Arisuka - Edward Scissorhands! I can watch it over and over, there is something so fragile and beautiful about the character. Like Arisuka said - Johnny Depp magically illuminated Edward with such delicacy. They make an amazing team. Can I just say that I have to add another element of Burton's creations which is obviously not a character but OMG did it take on a life of it's own - the 'tree' in Sleep Hollow.

Sweeney Todd, Penguin, Sally, Jack, and Corpse Bride. Maybe Oogy Boogy. Betelgeuse was a funny character, though rather nasty of course. Penguin could be nastier, though......
