Sparrows Random Legacy 207: Going Going

Also, does anyone have advice on switching from Blogger to something like Wordpress? I'm pretty good with computers, but I'm not sure how to port over the previous posts or where to find a decent theme, or if I have to pay for anything there? Trying to relax google's vice grip it has on my photos.

@NutsAndDolts It's great to see you too! I'm rereading some of the Archers to get psyched up to blog more again. It's impressive how you've been holding down the fort on this thread for so long, it wouldn't be the same place without you, so thank you for your dedication.

I'm so happy and honored that you find my old blogs inspiring. I'm almost afraid to look at them sometimes, because the me of ten years ago was in some ways such a different person.

I've been working on my RLC blogs in the background, sporadically, but decided not to start a posting schedule until I have a legacy all the way through ten generations. I've been skipping around different branches of the Archer family tree, in different towns, every time I get in the mood to play. So that means a lot of unposted chapters scattered through several different blogs.

I have felt the Google photos crunch as well, but I haven't made the swap to anywhere else, so I have no advice.

And another one. No idea how often I'll be updating.

Hi all! A little behind on the next update so I thought I'd share Loki and Circe with anyone who wants them, there is a Simfileshare version and also they are on the exchange. (Simfile is updating their site I'll put that up shortly so check back)

Maybe somebody out there can give Loki a good life? I loaded up an old save to add them online and (courtesy of SP they are living together though divorced) Circe immediately started threatening him, they are enemies, then he wished to be her friend. Circe is evil, no sense of humor, ambitious, commitment phobic and a genius. She is a sim that I made. Her LTW is world renown surgeon and her hair is store content, femme fatale something?
Loki is not a sim that I made, but he's come a long way from the child version that comes with Aurora Skies, so I felt alright about sharing him. He is Family Oriented, Ambitious, Eccentric, Neat and lucky, LTW inventor.

@NutsandDolts I love LOVE that you are writing again, hopefully it is cathartic and relaxing to get back into some Archer/Goldbeard/Woods/Fleet gameplay! Had you been playing the sims in between writing, or was there a dryspell to some other game? (I had no decent pc for most of last year at all, but that meant I was playing Sims 2 on a 13 year old laptop so I always play something sims it seems).

I played Sims3 a tiny bit once in a while, so I have a few scattered chapters of different legacies built up, but mostly I wasn't feeling well enough to play games.

If you need recommendations for PC games, I could DM you my list of most played games from better times and what they're about. Just say the word.

@NutsAndDolts I'm sorry life has been crap lately Becky. I'd tell you 'it's always darkest before the dawn' or some other nice sounding thing, but I myself hate long nights or long winters and it's hard to wait for things to get better. Keep fighting! (And eat well and rest) Pulling for you over here.


Next week's update will probably be on time, but it depends on a few things. I'm staging again for a few posts coming up after so those could go either way as it's a lot of work! Would love to keep updating in summer but that will be less frequent. Either way, the Sparrows live on!
