I'm about to lose my mind with townies standing next to my sims while they are doing something like eating or talking to someone else waiting to "greet" them. It will show in my sim's queue following whatever action they are currently doing and sometimes clicking it out will make the other sim go away but other times they will persist and it will keep popping up in the queue. Meanwhile, they will be lurking next to my sim making it frustrating to take screenshots. I've searched for a mod to stop this but all I can find is a mod to stop my own sim from having to greet another sim first and another to stop the different greets like high-fives and kiss-kiss which I think is cute personally. Attached is a pic I took of my sim on a date. The two sims next to them stood around lurking the entire date!

I know this thread is old, but I'm looking for this exact thing! Every mod I've found that does something along those lines alters a bunch of other behaviour instead. I just want to be able to go on a date without constantly being interrupted by random sims (shoutout to that townie who stood right outside my sims' car the whole time while they were making out and woohooing - good thing one of them is a witch so he could hex her afterwards as revenge). If anyone could make a mod that only removes the "be greeted" spam and lets one just greet the sims you want, that would be so appreciated.

I use a combination of the Social Auto Mod: (https://modthesims.info/d/653941/social-mods.html) and the "interactwogreet": (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/al/hacks/)

The first one fixes some interaction issues, like Sims trying to interact with another Sim who is already engaged in a long interaction, or greeting Sims while they’re doing something else, such as dining on a community lot. The second one disables the greeting interaction, so you don’t need to greet Sims to interact with them. This mod sometimes also makes townies try to greet your Sims only once, and if they don’t succeed, they’ll assume they’ve already greeted them and will perform random interactions as if the greeting already happened. It also makes some Sims on community lots don't feel the need to greet your Sims, especially if they already know each other.

I hope at least one of them is what you guys are looking for and helps make the game less annoying
