The key colors are set in how far can Sims go out - yellow, for example, will be restricted to nearby lots and cannot appear in a downtown subhood unless they live there. Green is the go-to key for when I want Sims to not appear at all, without even needing to ban them, and can only be invited.

I could share the edited Visitor Controller, but mind that I had to supercede the color key checking with a Global.

I have Inge's keys, but what did Pescado do to them?

I was referring to the code for getting lot distance, which I found first on one of his works. Building up from that, and Sims can be segregated into those living nearby, or in other subhoods.

I do take requests, but only for coding.

That's interesting. I was wondering how to keep my future military sims from leaving their military base subhood. Would you be able to share your edited VC to try it out?

Need to edit it first, so I'll PM later.

Yeah, this is going to be super helpful in the final version of the Simasota project (which MIGHT someday actually be completed, maybe when we all have grey hair and computers that can run the game are hard to come by, lol). Sounds like a great way to keep Capital City (and suburbs) residents from spawning spontaneously in SimNation, and vice versa. Would want to tweak it for visitation though.
