Tak. A Polynesian Pagoda.
It's my first attempt a thatch-style roof (without custom rooftiles). Although the lot is 3x4, it's a small house, in terms of living space: A single largish room, which you can subdivide a little, but I wouldn't count on housing a big family here. I'd say one impoverished fisherman and his wife. Impoverished by the mortgage, if you ask me: Tak costs $78,148.
I've tried a new technique to try to deal with the unfortunately transparent underside of floor tiles: A grid of low walls used basically as a truss roof. Check it out and tell me what you think.
Tak is part IX of the Shozen series. Check out my profile for the other parts.
* No EP required
* Hack-free
* My Ultimate Architecture Tutorial can be found here
* To run this house on your machine, and to build interior walls, you need to install the Unleveled Walls by Numeror (Praise be his name!) These walls are not a normal install: They don't go into the regular downloads folder. Read Numeror's instructions and do not use Qxpress to install the walls.
* Tak uses Targa's Designer LadderStairs
Let me know how you like it, give me thanks if deserved. And if you really like it, please give it a good rating. But most of all, if you use it in the game, please do post a screenshot or two here. I'd love to see what you do with it.
Thanks!

Install Instructions
1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
- For a full, complete guide to downloading complete with pictures and more information, see: Game Help: Downloading for Fracking Idiots.
