UPDATED: Simlish Vintage Fruit Crate Label Art
There are four designs in two sizes each, all found in the wall art section of the catalog. The larger sizes are on the "Capital City Skyline" mesh and cost $50, and the smaller sizes are on a shrunken version of the same mesh and cost $30. Frames and mattes are recolorable, just like the originals.
I'd list and describe the four designs, but I don't really know what to say that's not redundant given that you can see them up there in that screenshot. And there's pics of the individual designs at the bottom of the post so you can see them there too. And they're named pretty straightforwardly, so while I could tell you that the file with "cat" in the name has the cat picture in it, I could also just not bother because that kind of writing takes me forever to do for some reason, and besides, it's kinda obvious, isn't it?
More obviousness: since these images are from fruit crate labels in the early- to mid-twentieth century, they are not my original work, because I was not designing fruit crate labels at that time. Likewise, the meshes are by EA, not me. Since I didn't design the Simlish fonts either, I guess my contribution to the project was basically just a lot of messing with fiddly little things. Oh, and good taste!
I used two Simlish fonts to make these posters; one is immajer-simlish by inkandchaos on this very site, here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=355657 , and the other is SIMale's Simlish v3 on insiminator: http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,77301.0.
Enjoy!
UPDATE: I have added new and improved versions of the posters. The new versions have all four poster designs available as recolors in one package, Sims 2 style. They also have much better image quality up close (higher resolution) than the originals.
There are two new packages, one larger version and one smaller.
Thanks to cmomoney for the technical advances that made the new improvements possible!
RE-UPDATE: PLEASE RE-DOWNLOAD
Files have now been updated for compatibility with WA and with patch 1.7.9. Please re-download fixed versions! I've only fixed the new and improved hi-resolution multiple-picture versions. I've removed the originals; if for some reason anyone still wants them let me know and I can upload fixed vesions of those, too.

For a detailed look at individual files, see the Information tab. |
Install Instructions
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
