A Tiny House - Experiments in Micro Living

A serendipitous log-out of my e-mail the day I was wondering what to build next for my Sims led me to an article about micro homes. Wondering how these would translate to The Sims, if at all, I found a plan that I liked and went from there. I got my inspiration from the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company site, specifically drawing on the plan for their house called Fencl, seen here:

What I've built is the same in many ways, and drastically different in others, mainly owing to the fact that Sims just won't climb over things, refuse to ascend ladders (or even let them into their universe) and would never stoop to the level of stooping in a room that's not tall enough. Also, the size of my version is HUGE compared to anything in the Teeny category over at the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. I'm sure I read somewhere that a section of wall in The Sims is 3 feet-ish (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), therefore I'm pushing 370 square feet-ish.


Regardless, I'm happy with the results. Built on a 30x40 lot, furnished at 15,772, unfurnished at 12,332, the house is functional and beautiful (the real versions are beautiful, at least), it's a great starter, and there's plenty of room to *gasp* expand if you want to. I hope to experiment some more to get teenier and tinier with the next one. Thanks for looking, thanks for thanking!
