Need A New Bed? Build One! ~New Meshes~ (Double & Single)

The GOS Christmas in July/Secret Santa event just got done. I made a bed as part of my Santee's gift and, well.. here's what I ended up with. Now, my Santee didn't get everything included with this set. She had mentioned needing more content for male sims- so she got the more masculine looking meshes. This is the whole set. (Sorry, Santee! The "1 more mesh" just exploded on me, lol.) No expansions are needed, the whole set is completely base game.



What's included:
Double Bed - both beds come in 10 colors, 5 with contrasting trim and 5 solid colors (All wood is Maxis Match)
Single Bed
Picket Fence Head/footboard - all head/footboards come in 5 colors
Arched Head/footboard
Chalkboard Headboard
Glass Drawer Handles - all handles come in 5 colors (The drawers don't actually open!)
Metal Drawer Handles
Wood Drawer Handles

The arched and picket fence head/footboards have invisible recolors so you can choose to not have a footboard or even mix and match head and footboards. There are many decorating/mix-n-match possibilities with this set!



No matter what I did, the handle thumbnails were tiny and could barely be seen in the catalogue. They were also impossible to grab or recolor without moving the bed out of the way first. So, I added a box subset. This helps in 2 ways- you can see which handle you're choosing from the catalogue and once a set is placed, you can easily grab them or click to recolor them. The box sticks out just a bit from the end of the bed and has an invisible recolor. I tested this in game- the box doesn't stop a sim from using the bed or walking around it.



NOTE:
The double meshes are the masters as follows:
Double Bed- master for the single bed.
Double Arched Head/footboard- master for the single Arched Head/footboard.
Double Picket Fence Head/footboard- master for the single Picket Fence Head/footboard.
Double Chalkboard Headboard- master for the single Chalkboard Headboard.
Double Glass Handles- master for the single Glass Handles.
Double Metal Handles- master for the single Glass Handles.
Double Wood Handles- master for the single Wood Handles.
The MASTERS are needed for the corresponding slaves to work in game.


Polycount Note:
The drawer handle polys are a bit on the high side for what they are. I originally had one handle meshed with the bed. When doing recolors, I realized that the colors couldn't be used for every bed texture. (Since you can only have 2 recolorable subsets and the bedding is slaved to the Maxis bedding.) I like choices! So the handles are now separate. The bed is pretty low poly, even with the Maxis bedding. Since the handles were meant to go with the bed and I wanted them to be noticeable without squinting, I left them as they are. Yes, I could have added handles on the texture, but I do like the 3D look to them and still couldn't have choosen which color to use with which bed color. The glass handles were changed, see pic of sim relaxing for up-close shot of what they look like now. Having 2 round ones was kind of silly.
