This mod is fine with the latest patches (1.31-1.34).
26.05.12: As of some requests I added a file that just slows down the eating process and leaves the cooking speed untouched.
25.01.12: Because of a request I additionally uploaded a file that only increases the cooking speed but leaves the eating process untouched.

Since the game is out I don't like how long it takes Sims to cook and how fast they are when they eat. Eating is a social process so they should take more time to eat.

There is one mod from userunknown (http://www.modthesims.info/d/349675) which alters this but it hasn't been updated since World Adventures.

So I made my own mod and since I think some more people could be interested I provide it here.

Faster cooking:
To make faster cooking work I modified all in the game available meals, the stir and chop process and all stoves and the microwave.



Note:
I haven't modified the grills since sims endlessly prepare food at community lots where it piles up fast. (I haven't found a solution to stop this, so I excluded the grills)

Eating tweaks:
Eating is twice as low as before. The chance of choosing the favourite food is 60% instead of 33% and the chance of cleanup after eating is 70% instead of 50%.
Sims will sit 40 minutes after eating when someone is around instead of 20 minutes.

The mod will conflict with any other faster/slower cooking mod.

Game version:
My patch level is 1.29.55.014002 - so I guess you have to update to the latest patch level to use the mod. I have no expansion packs installed so you don't need any. It works with some, all or with just the base game.
