Esmeiolanthe's Birth Queen Skin As A Default Replacement Alien Skintone

The lovely esmeiolanthe made an awesome new skin a while back, which she called the Birth Queen Skin. Sims with the Birth Queen skin have different skin colours depending on their age and gender - males always have the green alien skin but females aged teen-elder have grey skin.

Her upload made it possible to use the Birth Queen Skin when creating new sims in CAS, but as she uses a Mac and hence can't use SimPE she wasn't able to turn her rather amazing skin into a default replacement for the Maxis alien skin. So that's where I came in! This upload is esmeiolanthe's Birth Queen skin as a default replacement. This means that it will replace the alien skintone in your game. Bear in mind that you can only have one default replacement for the alien skin in your game at any one time, so if you already have one and want to use this one instead you'll need to remove the old one from your Downloads folder.

I have tested this new default replacement myself over the last few months and I haven't encountered any problems with it. Sims who are abducted by aliens give birth to green-skinned babies, then when those babies grow up they become grey-skinned when they become teens if they're female and if they're male their skin remains green.

The following screenshots were taken by esmeiolanthe, who kindly let me use them for this upload, and show her Birth Queen skin on sims of both genders and all ages.





They also work just fine on pregnant sims and on babies, be they babies born through alien abduction or babies who've inherited the alien skintone from a parent.

It was something I really wanted for my own game, so many thanks to esmeiolanthe for allowing me to use her work to create it and to share it with other people. 99.9% of the work is hers - creating a skin in the first place is the tricky bit, turning it into a default replacement was pretty straightforward :-)
