Title: Buy Clothes Anywhere + Apartments and Shopping on the Same Lot

Purpose

1) To modify clothing racks so that clothes may be bought anywhere and by all Sims teen through elder - not just on community or owned business lots.

2) To provide amended versions of MogHughson's Apartments and Shopping, on the same Lot! files that include the Buy Clothes Anywhere Patch.


Description

Although it is quite typical to have a clothing boutique near the lobby of resort hotels, EA did not enable Sims to buy from clothing racks anywhere but in community or OFB style business lots. This patch removes the community lot check so that the racks will operate properly at any location - including Bon Voyage hotels - provided that a cash register is also available. The patch is basegame compatible and will also work with any Expansion Pack or Stuff Pack.

In addition, both servos and Bigfoot are now able to buy clothing off the rack. Whether or not these Sims can wear clothing of their own, I do believe that they should be able to buy clothes for other members of the household.

Installation

Three archives are included for download. Please select just one of these to extract to a Downloads folder:

1) sdBuyClothesAnywherePatch.zip - this file includes only the Buy Clothes Anywhere Patch.

2) apartments-and-shopping-Mog-20090615_sdBuyClothesAnywherePatch.zip - this is MogHughson's Apartments and Shopping, on the same Lot! project, but with the inclusion of the Buy Clothes Anywhere Patch.

3) ALTERNATIVE-VERSION-apartments-and-shopping-Mog-20090615_sdBuyClothesAnywherePatch.zip - this is MogHughson's project plus the Buy Clothes Anywhere Patch, but without the pet sales displays. This purpose of this file is to avoid clashes with Pescado's No Autonomous Pet Buying mod.

If you already have one of MogHughson's original project file installed, please make sure that one of these modified versions overwrites it.The modification of MogHughson's Apartments and Shopping files was done with the permission of MTS staff. Please see her original thread for information and support.

Note that although it is redundant to do so, no ill effects will result from the presence of both my standalone patch and one of these modified MogHughson's files in your game.


Patch Compatibility

The patch will be incompatible with any project that modifies the ShoppingRackGlobals' Interaction - Buy Clothing TEST BHAV, including the unmodified versions of MogHughson's Apartments and Shopping project.
