Chinese speedhound is a native Chinese sighthound breed built for speed.
A similar hound in the court painting "10 Noble Dogs" (《十骏犬图》：苍水虬)during the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912):


The translation given in my dog book is "China's canines". I think that's too general, so I’ve decided to call them Speedhounds.
