2 Staircases, Fence & Carpet Recolours

This time it is the A Stair to Not Forget by Smart Deco, A Stair to Remember by Smart Deco, A Fence to Keep in Mind and matching carpet in AL Wood and MALM colours.

I spent a few days trying to recolour the A Stair to Remember by Smart Deco, unfortunately due to an error made by Maxis, no matter what you do you can not recolour the sides of the staircase. In the end I cloned the staircase and fixed the error.

Please note this is NOT a default, it is a new MESH, I have included the mesh in both the zip files. My mesh will not override the maxis staircase and the fix by Hugelunatic to remove the center railing will not work with it. The recolours will not work with the original A Stair to Remember by Smart Deco.

To avoid any problems because I did not change much in the cloned mesh, you will still need Mansion and Garden for my staircase.

The Carpets are base game compatible, Mansion & Garden is required for both the Staircases and the Fences!

Found: Build Mode > Staircases > Staircases. Price: §1,575.

A Stair to Remember by Smart Deco: new MESH
Cloned From: A Stair to Remember by Smart Deco. Subsets: 3 sides, railing and carpet. Polygon Count: 6123.
Found: Build Mode > Staircases > Staircases. Price: §2,000.

A Fence to Keep in Mind:
Cloned From: A Fence to Keep in Mind. Polygon Count: 612.
Found: Build Mode > Miscellaneous > Fencing Tool. Price: §105.

Deco Staircase Carpet:
Found: Build Mode > Floors and Ceilings > Carpet. Price: §3.



Files have been compressed and checked in game. Colour charts are included in the zip files.
