A fairly simple mod that restores the ability for Sims to autonomously begin talking to one another while eating, which appears to have been removed or damaged in a more recent game update. -- This appears to have been fixed in a recent update, as I've witnessed Sims start a conversation whilst eating without this mod installed, however I think the autonomy behaviour the mod provides is still more to my liking, and may be to other players, as well, so I'm continuing to support the mod.

V3.0 update (2023/12/30) contains an alternate version which also boosts social autonomy whilst drinking coffee, tea, and bar drinks.

The likelihood that a Sim will start a conversation depends on their traits, their mood, and their relationship with the other Sim(s). Sims who are too hungry, tired, or uncomfortable will focus on eating.

Outgoing sims will readily engage in conversations with all other sims unless they've got a particularly negative relationship, whereas most other sims will prefer to chat to people they know. Family oriented sims prefer to chat with family members or best friends. Romantic sims prefer to chat with love interests. Loners rarely talk while eating, but may talk to a close friend.

I highly suggest using this mod alongside another mod which slows down the speed of eating and/or drinking.
