Better Blood (Plasma) Food + Drink

Note 5-15-2026 - I got a gaming PC setup again. Found this mod did actually need some changes thanks to updates to the xml files this mod uses/changes/replaces (at least as of today 5-15-26, no clue when those updates to the game happened). Game version 1.123.85.1020 (also now featuring nectar)

(old) Note 6-29-2025 - I've been playing the sims 4 little bit on a laptop recently, and this mod *seems* to still work just fine as is. I can't actually get into the code at this time to see if the tuning files it replaces have changed (don't have modding setup on said laptop), but I'm not noticing any issues using this same exact file with game version 1.115.253.1020

(anyway, back to our regularly scheduled mod description)

This mod changes how much some things satisfy vampire thirst. Not drinking from other sims, but the bags & fruit related things. With this mod you’ll see the thirst need for your vampire sims go up by double or more, depending on the item they're consuming. For the current version:

Blood vs Plasma

Shout out to Letisiya for their string edit mod "Drink Blood, Not Plasma!" I've used it for years & recommend it; their mod does not conflict with this mod because this is an XML mod while that is a string edit mod. I use both together without issues.

Similar mods

ShuSanR ("Plasma Packs Fill More Vampire Thirst") and Tanja1986 ("VAMPIRES - Mega Mod" with VampiresStrongerPlasmaFood) both have mods that do the same thing as this mod, but they both haven’t logged in for a long time. I wanted an updated version because this is an xml tuning mod & I wanted to use my own values for everything, so I made my own mod.

Technical Info

Requires the Vampires Game Pack (obviously? at least I would think that's a bit obvious)

2022 file: Confirmed to work with v1.87.40.1030 through v1.88.213.1030 (which was the current version as of 5-25-22).

2026 file: Confirmed to work with v1.123.85.1020

Ranch: Nectar

I've made a separate file to change the nectar from the ranch pack. From 12 to 120.

If you have the ranch pack, use the "better-nectar" file.
