This is my modernized renovation of 13 Dead End Lane, one of Strangetown's pre-built starter lots that houses the Specter family.

I've recently revamped my entire Strangetown neighborhood in order to give it a LA look, full of modern homes that have sleek and stylish lots, all fitting within the same style to this remodel.

I always loved the Specter's house, mainly due to it's simple but symmetrical grand design. I however felt it was in need of a revamp, in order to maximize the space and format of the lot. The exterior walls of the property remain unchanged, however it's glass exterior and addition of the upstairs are what have transformed it into a sleek and contemporary visual. The interior has been completely redone, with the downstairs now being open plan to enable a more modern interior.

One of the biggest additions was the upstairs. This was inspired by the "Glass Onion" film, to create a dome-like feature. I initially considered not adding the stairs, but was inspired to create an upstairs greenhouse that allowed the house to look edgy and impressive from the outside. The versatility of this upstairs balcony allows it to be reworked into whatever suits your needs.

Although I loved the inclusion of Specter's graveyard, I felt this was a little too morbid for the new renovation, so transformed this into an outdoor pool space. The outdoor space however allows this to be transformed into a modern garden or whatever the player sees fit.

Although this has been kept as a residential lot, I believe it definitely has a commercial look and feel. It's design is well suited to a spa, shopping mall or custom business depending on how you like to play your game. Within my neighborhood, I now have this as an apartment base, splitting the lot into two identical one bedroom apartments. It's use however is relatively unlimited, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Enjoy the download, let me know your thoughts and what you end up using this lot for!

Thanks
Matt
