If you play the Sims 2 basegame, without any of the expansion packs installed, you will notice that the rocks and cliff texture look a little different to how they do with EPs loaded.

The rocks in Strangetown, for example, are a brown rock texture instead of being light grey.

I really like the original rock texture, and much prefer it to the grey texture. I first noticed it when I was making my basegame neighbourhood, New Farprork, as the rocks looked different when I tested it in an EP environment.

So I extracted the original rock texture so that I could use it in my game, and have the rocks in Strangetown look as they used to.

This mod is just a texture replacement for the grey rock texture. This texture is used on some of the Maxis neighbourhood boulders, and also on the cliffs.

(The Will Wright head boulder is not affected, as you can see, but I put it there for comparison! He blends in better with this mod installed.)

This will show on ALL neighbourhoods that you play, so please bear that in mind. You can only have one rock texture override in-game at once, so remove any others you have before installing this one.

To use, unzip to your Downloads folder. If the texture doesn't show in your game, make the mod load last by adding a z to the beginning of the filename.
To remove the mod, delete the simsample_Basegame_Rock_Cliff_TextureOverride.package file from your Downloads folder.

This is for Victor_tor who mentioned that they would like this.
