This mod is a follow-up to my set of DC Comics Comic Books.

Although superheroes are a genre native to and most associated with comic books, comic books have encompassed many genres. The publisher EC Comics famously specialized in these "non-super" books, some of which were historically controversial in their graphic, violent content.

The custom EC Comics in this mod, therefore, are not really meant for children, but rather teens and adults. Each generates an appropriate mood buff in the reader, but they also serve as skill learning books, as follows:

EC romance title Modern Romance : Flirty Mood, Romance Skill
EC cowboy comic, Saddle Justice: Happy Mood, Equestrian Skill
EC science fiction title, Weird Science: Inspired Mood, Rocket Science Skill
EC historical adventure comic, Valor: Confident Mood, (custom) Archery Skill
EC war comic, Frontline Combat: Focused Mood, (custom) Marksmanship Skill
EC horror series, Tales from the Crypt: Scared Mood, Thanatology Skill
EC crime title, Crime SuspenStories: Focused Mood, Mischief Skill
EC humor title, MAD Magazine: Playful Mood, Comedy Skill

Please note that two of the books grant custom skills by the esteemed JaneSimsten (Archery and Marksmanship); you must download those mods to get the full benefit of those books.

Obviously, you must have the appropriate packs to get the non-base game skills (Romance, Equestrian, Thanatology). All the books are purchasable from any bookcase for §10 each (under "E", for EC Comics). Each book has its own customized set of thought balloons generated during reading.
