Hello baby boys and welcome to Binwood: Unleashed! 🌵
⚠️Please read everything!⚠️

Binwood is the place where, at last, the Bin families get some attention. Not only that: they're getting new memories, infant face genetics, pictures, ancestors, houses and lore!

Binwood: Unleashed is a version of Binwood, my open hood for the Bin families of Sims 2, where instead of apartment lots the families are getting houses of their own!

⚠️PINK SOUP AND CRASHES⚠️

Although Binwood is no longer featuring huge apartment lots, the hood can still be pretty laggy for some people. Thankfully, we do have some fixes for that that I included in a note in the folder. Check that if you're facing lag, crashes or pink soup in Binwood: Unleashed. You're more than welcome to contact me if you need more help!

CREATORS BEHIND BINWOOD!

I'm not a builder at all and so Binwood was made possible only 'cause I got the permission from Angela Ester The Sims, CatherineTCJD and Julee Sims to borrow their awesome lots. Most of them were altered by me, but some are intact. Either way, thank you so much ladies for helping Binwood: Unleashed become a reality!

HOW TO INSTALL IT!

Unfortunately, because of Mod The Sims’ file size limit, Binwood was split into two parts. Just put the Lots folder from Part 2 into the 'N781' folder inside Part 1, then move the N781 folder to 'Neighborhoods' under Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Neighborhoods.

Every Sim has infant face genetics, and for every family, there are at least six dead ancestors. I custom-made all the NPCs, townies, and playable Sims (duh). All the playable Sims have memories, bios, customized personality points, hand-picked lifetime wants, aspirations — all of that and more. Everything customizable about them was.

All feedback is very welcome (and much needed!).

UPDATE 06/01/2026 🏜️🏜️🏜️

1. I was using Sims2RPC when creating Binwood and didn't realize lot imposters were set to high quality. This was one of the reasons why a lot of players were getting pink soup and lag. This has been fixed.
2. I gave every Sim a cellphone just because (and it feels more realistic too). Toddlers can't get cellphones but I added ones next to their toys so when they age the player can manually add those to their inventories.
3. Now you can buy cellphones in the gas station lot!
4. I also gave the Traveller family a classic phone cuz they were missing one.
5. Deleted a decoration that was blocking Julien Cooke from cooking (lol).
