Gypsy Potions Update Coming Soon

I am currently working on updating the Gypsy Potions.

Here's some of the changes I'll be making.

-I've changed the potions so that they can now be placed on OFB shelves. I don't have OFB so I can't test to see if it works, but I got the information on how to do it from a post that Numenor made, so I'm confident it will work.

-Potions will be available in the catalogue (Buy Mode), there will no longer be an alternate version where they're not.

-You will be able to download just the potions you want.

-The fertility potion will increase a sim's odds of having twins by 15%.

-There will be an option to allow zombies to get pregnant.

-There will be an option to make it so vampire's can't get pregnant.

-I will also be adding some new potions.

Request if possible.
By Cloecloe4 (25th Aug 2008 at 8:27 PM)
hello there. I have a request but am not sure if its possible.

I have a family that has the elder (grandfather) and of course the parents and the kids. What I wanted to do is have the grandfather marry a grandmother from another family yet this seems not possible. I was just wondering if you are able to make a hack that allows for elder sims to get married. I've looked around and haven't found any such hack anywhere.

Thank you

Sincerly, Cloe
Debug Super Duper Hug is a Huge Problem with New EP

Smonaff, it doesn't look like you've been around for a long time, and I hope you see this soon. Please update your controller for the anti-jealousy part of your hack for Free Time. Considering what you said on Post #130 of Ten Gypsy Potions when you last updated it, I think there's an excellent chance that it's the cause of the Debug Super Duper Hug problem when I tried to install Free Time. I have contacted one other modder to alert him of this issue. PM me if you want and I'll test any changes you make. Thank you.

Just a clarification to my previous post: I was referring to the No Jealousy global hack you did in 2006, not the 4/2006 potion for individual sims. Thanks.
No Jealousy Mod - Update for BV?
By vita4all (14th Jan 2008 at 4:11 AM)
Hello Smonaff,

Your No Jealousy hack was fantastic. I don't know if you'll take requests when/if you return, but if so, I'd greatly appreciate an update of this for BV. The current one worked perfectly through Seasons, but unfortunately doesn't for BV. Thank you for your consideration.
uh...kinda random here...

Ok, I can make the "no period while on birth control" an optional feature of the Period Hack, I'll be working on updating it when I get through with the potions. What I'm doing with the potions is making it so that I can add new potions and features periodically without having to redo everything, this will save people from having to redownload all the files all over again, instead they can just download the new potion or feature and it will be compatible with what they already have. So after I get the update done I will work on making an optional controller that will let you click on a sim and set it so that the potion won't wear off until you tell it to.

I saw the added on hack that prevents sims that are on their period from getting pregnant. I was talking about while sims are on the birth control they can't have their period. And the period resumes where it was as soon as the birth control wears off. Along with that, if it's possible then the sim's potion effects don't wear off until the player cancels it (by clicking on the sim) I hope that was clear enough, and I hope that it's something you could look into adding.

Yeah, it's totally compatible with the period hack, in fact the part of the gypsy potions that handles the test for pregnancy has an option to prevent sims, that are having a period, from getting pregnant.

I found that you have a birth control potion, and I saw you had a period hack too from the link you gave. You could modify the birth control so sims can't be "on their period" while they're taking it. You could have the potions last a long time until you have an option to cancel it. Is it compatible with the period hack at all? I need to know, so I can know if it'd be safe to install.
