You mean through the hair? Could be a mesh layering issue, but difficult to know without a picture or the actual hair.

Yes through the hair. I hope the picture is working to show the spots showing through the back of the hair.

It looks like a fixable problem, but it's faster and easier to remove the hair (unless you like the hair enough to invest time and energy into fixing it). It's possible someone has fixed the issue already, so you could have a look around just in case.

Can it be fixed by someone with no experience making hair? I like the hair but I have no experience making custom hairs.

Some experience is probably necessary. You'll likely need to know how to edit meshes, and check for other things that can be wrong, so some SimPE knowledge doesn't hurt.

There are some tutorials on making hairs - you mostly need to know how to use some of the simpler editing tools in the meshing programs (selecting, moving, importing/exporting...) and for SimPE it's how to extract and then replace the mesh.

I didn't see any issues on the adult hair the few times I used it. I've just been seeing the issues that bug me on the child age as Andromache has been moving around in game.

Some hairs look fine on adults but have issues for other ages. Surprisingly common, especially for older hairs.

If I get the chance I can check it out to see if there's something that can be done. Is it just the child age?

From what I can tell its the child and teen age that have the issues.

Why do most popular sims 2 YouTube videos have 0 downloads in their game?
Is it the relatability factor? Most casual gamers won't use downloads so when they see a video with no downloads they think that that could be their game? Imo mods are essential

I have just entered this lot and found the Buy and Build options greyed out so I can't access them.
Also the Inventory is locked so I can't add or take anything from it.

I had it once before and had to move the sim out, leaving everything in the house as I couldn't add anything to the inventory. Bulldozed the house, put a new house down and moved the sim in.. But would rather fix the problem if this is going to keep happening.

My last mod I installed is Chris Hatch visit other sims https://simfileshare.net/download/1550481/ when you visit another sim it happens which is logical but returns to normal once home. This sim is in her own home.

XML files dumped by HoodExporter have lines like this each Sim:
Code:
     <hobbies predestined="0" cuisine="0" arts="0" film="0" sport="0" games="0" nature="0" tinkering="0" fitness="0" science="0" music="0" secret="0" />

Does anybody know what 'secret' is? It's 0 for every sim, so dont think the secret lot access.

I've checked in Milkshape (child and toddler hair), but I can't see the same issues there. The hair appears to be layered correctly, and the head doesn't poke through the hair. I've even checked with animations.

It's possible it's ingame settings - sim/object detail, Texture detail, or smooth edges,

Does anybody know what cause this message in SimPE 0.72? Doesn't happen with 0.75.69.

0.72 only covered AL, I think? Possibly also M&G if you added a M&G (SimPE) patch.
I used to run 0.73 for full coverage.

It says in error message it supports up to M&G, and that it detected a nonexistent new EP.

Is growing food dirty in the game?

I have had a go at growing food for the first time. Had some not so great crops and lost some. I then built a greenhouse attached to a house so Sally wouldn't need to walk outside. But whenever she enters the greenhouse her Environment need crashes to red in about a second. I moved the composter outside as I thought that might be the issue but no.

Any ideas?

Do you have a sprinkler in there? If that breaks it will plummet the score. Only other thought is try painting the wall with something else.

Thanks it was a broken sprinkler. I repaired it and the environment score lifted. Now just have to work out what do do with the food I have grown.
