So far in my hood Sonder, I have 13 community lots. My sims Alexandra and Soupcan wanted some fun, so I thought I'd see if they could visit every community lot in a single outing.



They went home in the morning, having spent two nights away from home!

A quick "back of envelope" count tells me that I have 21 community lots in the original Veronaville, 35 in downtown Veronaville, 25 in Bluewater, and 12 in Monopolis (not counting the 22 oblongs of coloured carpet, that represent the Monopoly Board "squares". If I ever I suggest to any of my Veronaville Sims that they visit all 93 (115 if you include the coloured carpet oblongs) in one outing, I think they will justifiably conclude that I have finally taken leave of of my senses. Andrew is shaking his head and says, "I think that will be time for me to take over as 'player'."

It might be possible in my "tiny island" neighbourhood of New Desconia, which has only 7 community lots (and 13 residential lots)!

@AndrewGloria Sonder is still young, and has plenty of room. I will be building more community lots, no doubt! When a sim has a want for something I don't have, I put it on a new community lot.


His father is called Schlomo, and his siblings are Pennywhistle, Ovaltine and Frosty!

@simsample I love all your community lots! I wonder if the name of your fancy restaurant is an homage to Los Pollos Hermanos? Surely a bit more upscale, though.

I have no idea if my spanish is correct though!

I see that Karen is already working on her second fight at the diner. XD And poor Mickelthwaite. He needs a proper burial!

Sim on the right (Loveday) was saying how much she fancied Micklethwaite, and sim on the left (Evangelina) now has a memory of this gossip. Loveday is recently widowed, so it's a shame Micklethwaite isn't here! It would also have been hilarious, as Micklethwaite was the shortest sim in the hood, and Loveday is one of the tallest. The animations would have been sublime!

Well, shoot! Appeal it. It's worth a shot. Though one hears bad things about tumblr treating trans people as inherently NSFW and if they deleted your main on that basis, to hell with them. But such things shouldn't go unchallenged, even if you decide to stay away after it's been restored.

I didn't realize they treated trans people that way. I don't know why they deleted my Simblr but I tried to challenge it, got no response. I deleted my main myself. I never really cared about any tumblr expect my Simblr to be honest..
But to heck with it. At least I can continue telling their stories on Substack. Hopefully I can start playing them more. I'm only on round 3.

OMG, I was unaware of that! What a load of rubbish that is.

I don't know it first hand, but have seen people bitching about it in other people's reblogs. It's not as if the phenomenon is unknown in the wider world, either. It's just got to be challenged wherever it appears.

For various reasons, technical and otherwise, I am not very focused in my simming at the moment, but am bouncing around my retro setup. It's the 50s in Desiderata Valley, where Natasha, Florence, Violet, and Rick are all gay; the 40s in Veronaville, with the Capps collaborating with the Occupation and the Montys resisting (and I've put refugee families into some newly-built abandoned farms because holey cheese does that neighborhood need new blood); the 30s in Riverblossom Hills; the 20s in Belladonna Cove; the 60s in Strangetown; a mishmash of every decade in Pleasantview and of every century in The Alien Zoo; and if I want a 70s hood I'll have to make one up because Widespot is more of a 30s place I think. Though in America in the 30s the Lands and the Beeches wouldn't be legally married.

But what is the use of tweaking a game to suit yourself, if you can't pick and choose the realities you play?

I've really been enjoying everyone's community lots that they've been sharing. I do not take my sims out as often as I should. (hardly actually!) I'd really like to incorporate some type of community/beach lot in the main neighborhood so everyone can go to the beach and not just my affluent sims that can afford to travel. I also really like the coffee shop/board game idea. We actually have a lot of boba cafes like that around here!
Glen Ercan and Brandon Morgan are staying at the most prestigious dormitory at Sim State University. The Landgraab Dormitory has a gym, library, and a full kitchen with a chef serving meals from 4AM-9PM. Oh and did I mention everyone has their own room and bathroom?! That's Glen's favorite part about it. He's had to share a room with his 3 other siblings his entire life. (He's a quadruplet) His dream is to own 5 successful businesses so he doesn't ever have to share a room again. As of right now his brothers are also at Sim State but in other dorms and his siste Carol is at home. She was a teen mom so she had to prioritize being a mother vs going to college. Unfortunately for Glen, he and his brothers might have to share an apartment after they graduate anyway since Carol and Kelda have taken over their childhood bedroom.

Brandon Morgan has been working on his LTW of having 20 lovers. He's only at 3. There's definitely lots of options at Sim State it's just a matter of A) investing time in them and B) being careful about having them get jealous of each other. Oh and did I mention his brother Kody also has the same LTW? So I need to try to make sure they don't fight over girls either. It feels like I'm playing chess. Brandon also has a an alien icon as one of his "turn ons" which I take as wanting to join the local alien cult so that'll have to happen eventually.

On the opposite side of campus from the Landgraab Dormitory is the Troak Dormitory where Glen's brothers reside. Like Brandon and Kody, Rick also has a LTW of having 20 lovers. Daryl is focusing on studying.

Daryl and Rick also live with freshmen Jericho Williams, they don't know him too well yet. So far they've mostly seen him on his way to class or eating in the cafeteria room. Jericho is very introverted and keeps to himself. He's from a community that keeps to themselves so he's feeling extremely out of his element and nobody else from his community is there with him. Its also essentially his first time out in the "real world." He's actually already got a wife and two children waiting for him back home. He's at Sim State studying to become a lawyer so he can better provide for his family.

Rick and Daryl party pretty often at their brother's dorm since its much nicer. So one night Rick and Daryl invited Jericho out with them. They thought a little booze might loosen him up a bit. He could use a break anyway, If he wasn't in class, he was in his room studying. That night Brandon chatted with Jericho a bit about his lifestyle and how he grew up and found it so fascinating. Jericho and his wife were raised under the same roof their entire lives. When they became teenagers I took them out on a date on a whim just to get them out of the house and it was actually pretty lame. Then they came home and hooked up once everyone in the house fell asleep. Leia got pregnant that night and because they're both children of leaders in the church, they got pressured to marry as soon as possible. Appearances and all.... (Jericho is the leader's son and Leia is the 2nd in command's daughter)

Maybe Brandon can show Jericho around and Jericho can tell him more about his religion.

I started playing Beginning of Pleasantview again, and I played out Bella's abduction. I've been developing a lot of intense lore for this hood. (I've posted much of it in my Social Groups thread.) It would be far too long a post to explain the back story for Bella's abduction and why it played out as it did, so I'll just recap the highlights. This all happened on the alien colony planet. Living on the planet were the last Colony Drone, Michael Bachelor (Bella's brother), Berjes Bachelor (Michael's alien son), Dina Caliente Bachelor (Michael's wife), Michael and Dina's baby Madeleine, and Zeeshan Caliente (Dina's half-brother by alien abduction). Nina is at university.

- Bella was abducted by the last remaining Colony Drone but died of trauma from the journey.
- The Colony Drone was then attacked by Michael and killed.
- Zeeshan resurrected Bella using alien technology but botched the job. Bella came back with no memories and reversed personality.
- Zeeshan and Bella instantly fell in love with each other. Bella was grateful for being brought back to life. Zeeshan was overjoyed to finally meet a woman he wasn't related to.
- Bella got pregnant and had a baby with Zeeshan.
- With Colony Drone gone, they decided they needed to evacuate and used old communications equipment to contact Pollination Tech #9 in Strangetown.
- Michael flew the spaceship, but it crashed behind the Beakers' house. (It did not make the crater. The crater was already there.) Michael was killed in the crash.
- PT#9 met them at the crash site. He told Zeeshan and Bella they needed to disappear. The reason was that Bella's disappearance was too well known. If it was discovered that an alien had taken her, it would create hostility or outright war toward the aliens/hybrids.
- Bella gave PT#9 their baby, who was named Jane and adopted by the Smiths. She and Zeeshan hid out in the Beaker house until dark--the Beakers had previously been arrested and committed to the asylum, so it was empty--then took off under cover of darkness for parts unknown.
- PT#9 found Dina a place to live nearby with Berjes and Madeleine. Nina will join her when she graduates.

I wasn't really planning to have Michael die, but I ended up going that route for the sake of the story. I couldn't figure out another good way to have Bella disappear and Dina lay low in Strangetown for a while. This does set things up for Nina and Dina to come to Pleasantview and for Dina to meet Mortimer or maybe even for Berjes to try to claim part of the Bachelor family fortune. Bella is still alive, but because of the resurrection, she and Mortimer no longer consider themselves married, and she doesn't even have any memories of Mortimer. I'm also pretty happy that I finally thought up a reason why Bella's abduction/return has to be kept a secret. Dina, the Curiouses (who know Mortimer through work), and the Smiths will all be motivated to keep the secret because of their alien connections.

Party Time!
This one, with a group playing kicky bag, 2 playing chess and some just watching TV (they did all have chef salad earlier for dinner) remained a GOOD TIME until the end - and turned into a roof raiser just as the guests were leaving!

Poor Coleen... her wedding party was a disaster. (final rate: boring. I suppose it's better than disaster) Nobody enjoyed themselves despise there being food, music, a open bar and bubbly juice. She's devastated, poor thing. I don't know what went wrong. Probably something I did. Her husband reached platinum aspiration at least... so he's happy.


I had to tell him to put down the salad so he could give her a wedding dance. Not looking good there Gottfrid.


In other news, I expanded the cafe. I realized I had more empty space on the lot than I knew. So I could expand it! Next up, adopt a kid and make a bedroom for said kid.
I also gave the cafe a make-over. It looks more cosy now. I wanted to add an espresso bar, but it's a residential so I couldn't find it. I added a espresso machine... but I don't think it works. Well a juice bar it is then.

Well... everyone left...

Also, also! I think it's neat that the game remembers who got proposed to. During the ceremony, Gottfrid had a ring with a diamond on. So the game remembered that he was the one who got proposed to!

Not much with my Sims themselves at the moment, since I haven't played in a long time and now need to get back into it first - but I decided to work on the cemetary of my town! Each Sim who dies gets their own nice little plot here

I'mma have to grab them! Could actually work well with some of the lots in Shifting Sands. Thanks!
