I'd probably bring my weaponized mac and cheese. It got the nickname because cleanup is a nightmare.

Probably bring Cherry 7UP for the drink.

For dessert, New York Style Cheesecake.

I'm sure you have something similar to that where you live. It goes by various names here, but what it means is that a group decides to get together and everyone brings some kind of food or drink to share. Sometimes they will chip in for a main course of some kind and just bring the side dishes and drinks.

I brought homemade spring rolls to the Christmas pot luck. Boss complimented the Chinese guy for my spring rolls.
Boss asked new guy when he joined the group. "Oh," the 'new' guy says, "about three years ago".
It was like a badly written sit com.

I would either bring my homemade Italian bread rolls (made from scratch, super crisp and yummy) or my homemade mac and cheese with spinach.

For the uninitiated, a pot luck is like a communal dinner party. People come bearing foods and drinks to have for the other guests. Usually casseroles and cooked dishes and desserts are brought for food and sodas, alcohol, milk or juices as drinks. Some foods are provided at the house or a coffee machine for coffee drinkers.

The party is mostly for socializing with fellow party goers.

Mostly, that's was the Christmas 2017 party at my house.
