I’ve never made commercial lots, but I’m not too bad at decorating, so I may try to finish some if I get any good ideas.

Families are all ready, they just dont load with the world for some reason.
with regard of the decorations Like the Hospital I am a bit lost, i dont do much story making but would like to have some "sets"in the rabitholes for people that make those lovely stories on facebook and other sites folowing the progress of their Sims. I can imagine jails, hospital rooms, courts of law and so on are needed for those and that is why I want to put some of those rooms in the rabithole buildings.

Also, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to share this world on other websites to help spread the word. I think r/Sims3 on Reddit would be a great place to start. There are also YouTubers who review Sims 3 custom worlds - it might be worth reaching out to them and sharing the link. If they review it, the world could get more attention and you’d soon have lots of people willing to help out

I have a unrelated youtube channel and am not that much into social media. I dont have Twitter, tumblr, instagram or Reddit. But if you do and you want to share this I would be grateful for any help sharing this.

I actually once replied to a video from Rekowsky since I watched his video's (rating Bridgeport) for interior shots and inspiration for the same sims in my Bridgeport but never got a reply so I think you need to reach them on the mentioned social media but I dont have those.

I am however grateful you think this world is worth a review on youtube!

Good morning! hahaha you move fast. it is 09.17, walked the dog, made coffee and started the laptop and here are you, have already sweeped trough every inch of the the city

It is supposed to be populated indeed but I have not been able to permanently transfer the Sims to the world, even with Porter. They show up in CAW but as soon as it is in the game they are all gone.
that is what I mean with the needed help with the populating.

After downloading this mod the rabbit holes are now working. I checked a few and they were functioning correctly. I thought that the Bookstore rabbit hole wasn't working at first, but then I found that the entrance doors needed unlocking for some reason.

Ah! ill fix trat later in the post, good spot! I was unsure if it were those rabithole rugs and I was wrong, Ill fix that!
And with the bookstore I forgot to unlock it indeed. it was first just the bistro with a (fake)clothingstore and I changed that to a bookstore. Ill unlock it in EIW

yes I am. I am aware of the rugs and the Nraas career-mod so I did prepare the buildings to house all Uni objects and rugs.

No idea.. this is the first I heard of this.. Ill check out what I can do to fix that. do they use the bridge?
That said, you already have Sims living in the game? hahaha wow..

I'm not sure if that's a glitch, or is it because I'm missing some content. I don't own all EP and SP. I added a few pictures with examples.

ah good spot! Ill check what happened there, it looks like I used wallpaper from Roaring heights and from the Gothique library so I can check if I need to change those around for others.

Apart from that, for now I noticed a floating object on a balcony of one of the apartments and glitched arches in the cemetery. Not sure what happened there, it looks normal on a screenshot you posted.

That looks like one of the apartments around Battery Park? Plaza 31? I think it has a chimney in mine from a store world. it is not necessary but maybe I can change it for another item to make the roof feel more rooflike.

Seems the Rabbithole rug issue has been solved. Those you linked are pre-pets, so shouldn't be used anymore either way. They have been updated here: https://modthesims.info/showthread....761#post4749761, but as was pointed out already, don't include all rabbitholes.

It would also be helpful to know what store sets you used in your creation to avoid missing or replaced items, and if those sets have been installed via launcher or as package files (and whether they have been decrapified).

Yes I need to fix that, Ill do it now.
ill see what rabitholes I used otherwise since I did find a set that had all of them up to intoe the future

I tried to include all store lots like the brunch at the old mill, gothique library etc. Maybe I should add those lots seperatly to avoid confusion and issues if people dont have those?

Still having issues including the Sims so I decided to put them all in their respective houses and save that so I can add the save file to the tread

Not every inch, but I did check a few buildings in different parts of the city I only moved in one sim, and NPCs spawned while I was exploring. I chose "Go here" somewhere in the middle of central park, and my sim went into the pond to get there. She later glitched out and started swimming in the ground. I also saw an NPC who was going to work at the JAVA cafe, and he also chose to swim through the pond.

I wanted to finish the inside of the fire station yesterday, but I couldn't change the wall layout on the top two floors. It said, "Blocked by floor zone" (direct translation) and wouldn't let me place new walls. I was able to build walls on the bottom two floors, so that made me think the "half-floor" with just stairs might be causing an issue.

I can't pick just one thing I like the most, and there's still so much more to explore! The buildings are very impressive, and I love the packed big-city vibe, especially the fact that you managed to fit so many buildings in without expanding the map too much. I also love all the architectural styles you've used, and I think they work really well together. I'm obsessed with the the industrial vibe, and the new harbours really add character to the city. I haven't been inside that huge house yet, but it looks incredible from the map view

It definitely needs more work to make it feel more alive, and I’ll try to help where I can. I’m not sure if I’m creative enough to decorate the hospital, though.
I think I might have an idea for the cinema and the theatre. I also saw this vampire club, VANGsomething… I think I could have a go at that one too. And I already have a really good idea for the fire station, but the inside walls are stopping me. I’m keen to decorate unfinished residential lots too, but I assume communal lots are a bigger priority for now.

The firestation's two top floor walls are raised by 25% so changing the wall layout requires the CFE cheat.
I did that cause the original building has quite high ceiling heights. in the 1900's they did build tall. so the half landing with coveted ceilings are ok, it is the walls that are higher.
The layout is the same as the original,
From memory it was (from landing to front) Office, toilets/bathroom and storage with the kitchen behind and in front above the big doors there was the rec room/living room.
The upper floor were the sleeping rooms, dressingrooms ( i was thinking comunnal showers) and the big room was the gym (or Egon's lab)
ill see how I did it in my game, ill come back to that.

The Big house is what started it all back in the day, I loved watching Brideshead revisited and got into the original plans for Castle Howard and just HAD to build it form my Sims but could not find anywhere to place it in Bridgeport..

I tried 4 different locations in the world for it, but I feel the place it is now was almost made for the estate.

it is called Vangtasia (True Blood fan here) it is in the basement 2 levels down under the enterance hall. I think I did gave it an interior but now am unsure..

The hospital is HUGE.. I think trough it just needs some of the rooms done for storytelling, The rest can be blacked out. I think some offices, some restrooms, recovery rooms (beds with chairs next to them for "sick"sims) and some operatingrooms and such.. But maybe inspiration will strike somehow.
it is just for storytelling, the rabbithole rug is what makes the lot work.

I left unused apartments empty so people can move in and decorate in their own way. The lots that will be having Sims are decorated and have usable interiors (left attics and all unfinished but that is ok for gameplay I think) I deliberately made housing more expensive so players have minimal funds once they have a house. it makes for a more fun gameplay, if you decorate and furbish the apartments they easily go over the 20K Simolian benchmark and make starting hard.

I think the only residential lots that need a interior are the Stillwater one and The Eaves

Default Firestation
This is how I have the firestation in my game,

Overview of the downstairs area, with behind the firetruck the office (where I imagine the calls come in) with above that a waiting area with a fooseball table and the pole going down.

the floor above has an additional office, storage, toilets, kitchen and general room.

the floor above has 2 sleepingrooms with bunkbeds, toilets, showers and a gym.

and nothing fancy on the roof.

I also changed the BEta post with the changes to the rabbithole rugs and included my save file in case people want to have all the Sims in their game as well.

Hello Moara, that would be super helpfull thank you!

What needs to be done:

Rabitholes (since these have the rabitholes to work, they remain empty but could be great for storytelling)

City Hall:
I was thinking courts of law, wedding venues.. maybe some offices for mayor etc and decorating I felt a bit blank there on what to do
* this lot has custom wallheights by the way)

Hospital:
Obviously this might need operating rooms, recovery wards, toilets, and maybe some research rooms and cafeteria and rooms for nurses and doctors etc?

School:
Classrooms, maybe a cafetaria? bit blank there to.

University:
needs the same think I feel.. something to match those rabithole rugs
* custom wall heights here as well

Stadium:
needs more deco and stuff to really work, lockerrooms maybe a gym, maybe foodstands?
* since the lot uses an extreme slope the lower level has an alternate wall height.

There is also an additional tower (buisness and bistro I think, it also needs an adress I found out lol)
that I have no real idea what to do with.
* custom in between level due to it being a tower, there are functional elevators installed)

The Filmstudio, and Big show venue are right next to each other on Starlight Shores, they might need dressingrooms filmsets and whatnots and I need to find a rabithole rug for both

Train station/Terminal needs inspiration.. I just left a Subway station in there but that is just lazy.. it needs to feel like a REAL station
* custom wall heights

Prism Art Studio needs a full interior it is just the shell atm.

Same with the Tiny prodigies learning center,

Same goes for Grandpa's grove,
This lot does already have the chicken coup, milking cow thing, and the tractor and some harvestables but the house needs interiors as does the big shed.. I was uninspired and need help there to

Mermaid Cove is a dive lot without anything to dive for, it is bare.. so that needs work,

Both museums are shells, I was unsure what to do with the interiors.
I might have done something inside the Simsonian but cant recall.

Hammond Pier is the pier/fishing spot. It to is just bare at the moment.

And I did use the basic amusement park roller coater lot that came with Roaring heights.. I might want something else more fitting the world there.

Buchaneers Beach is just a lot still, I would love input there, maybe a beachclub, some umbrella's toilets/outhouses/shower combo's? and the liveguard seat?

Lucky Simolean resort and Casino needs a full redo. I dont think I even included windows there.
* custom tower so wallheight above second level

and 101 Dean Peak is a lot I am unsure about still. I was thinking an old cottonmill there so i could use it as the brunch at the old mill lot but am a bit overwelmed.. need help there.

And lastly the Off White House that will be the mansion for the Alto family. it is empty. I might have started on the kitchen in the cellar but cant recall it
* due to the style of the house custom wall heights

I think these are the lots I that need help with from memory.

If the firestation is finished in your game, why is it empty in mine? There's only a few essential things at the bottom floor, like the fire truck. When I try to use that cheat and place a new wall, this is what happens to the building:

Yes, Vangtasia! The club downstairs is very cool, but the upstairs felt empty, so I added a fake bar/pub. I didn't add a funtional bar because I know you tried to reduce the number of these.

And a fake office next door to fill that space. Though, I don't know how realistic it is to have an office next door to a club I made it quite bare, I didn't even put lights in, because I assume it will be locked and just for decoration:

I haven't made any changes to the club in the basement, but if you put it in your game, you may have to swap the items that were replaced in my game. I assume those crib mobiles weren't supposed to be there...

That's understandable. I noticed that some townies have way too much money (at least in my opinion), apart from Polly Maloney - she had a very appropriate amount of 11 simoleons That's something that could be updated at some point.

I thought another beach lot could be added here:

I send you my pre-play Sims, causeI do not want any Sims getting pets or other things that can mess up the game, I think I added the interior to the firestation afterward cause of one of the Hallway sisters wanted to be a firefighter for some reason (was it Paige?) Well Bridgeport is a rich city, Ill fix the familyfunds later but my (Simms) family (actually based on me) has an expensive taste in Fresh Prince Cars, so they need to be rich (you should see their monthly bill) And Spark and Vayne are billionaires in "real"live so they need to be wealthy to.

Even on my 8 year old laptop this world runs smoother than most other worlds I tried from other creators.

Yes, it does look like you only planned to make 1st and 2nd floor usable. Even that still is a huge space to fill Though, I have to admit, in some buildings I struggle to see how far I should build and which rooms or floors should be blacked out.

Honestly, it doesn't seem too bad for me. I think my PC is mid range, but I also use different mods and fixes to help the game run smoother. I feel like it's a bit more laggy than the original Bridgeport, but not unberable. At the same time, I feel like I didn't spend enough time in live mode to know for sure.

it is not that bad tbh, I just gave it a try yesterday and with a emergency room, some operatingrooms and an enterance with waitng area it fills up quickly.. maybe ill finish it cause the second room will basically be recovery wards and bathrooms..

So, is the mod I found expired or something? I didn't get any issues with it. I've seen Norn's reply, but I'm not sure if they were replying to you or to me.

you asked for supernatural rugs.. so it was in reply to you ;-)
It looks like the link I provided is old and unusable

Honestly, it doesn't seem too bad for me. I think my PC is mid range, but I also use different mods and fixes to help the game run smoother. I feel like it's a bit more laggy than the original Bridgeport, but not unberable. At the same time, I feel like I didn't spend enough time in live mode to know for sure.

it runs just fine on my old laptop.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing progress on the hospital.

I finished the City Hall last night. I'm quite proud of it Download: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/5699175/

Ground floor - archive, offices, parking, toilets

1st floor - court rooms, meeting rooms, offices, toilets

2nd floor - Mayor's office, wedding venues, toilets

That looks good! thank you!

I worked on Still Water, in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House (200 Windsor Drive)
Interiors are almost done, just needs some minor tweaks and doors, fireplaces and other interiorbits before "it hits the markets" in Bridgeport.
As it is a buyable (non occupied) house, it will have a kitchen (no fridge) toilets abd bathrooms but no furniture.
It is a beautiful house trough, one of my favorite architects.

That looks awesome, I love how it turned out! The style really stands out and it feels like a place with a lot of character

I finished decorating the Tiny Prodigies Learning Centre, and I added an internet cafe next door. Download: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/5700294/

I also finished the school. Download: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/5700384/
Ground floor - reception, headmaster's office, staff room, cleaning/storage cupboard, canteen, swimming pool, gym, changing rooms, toilets

1st floor - library, classroom, science room, art room, computer room, toilets

Someone messaged me on Reddit - they said they really like your city and would love to help with finishing the lots. However, they were unable to log into their account to leave comments here. They’re wondering if there’s another way to contact you and share their builds.
