Default How To Create Two Separate Sims Games Sharing One Computer
How many of you guys share a sim computer and don't know that your technically don't need to have the same CC, sims, game settings mods, or even the same neighborhood files or photos as your partner or roommate or whatever

I luckily have got my own PC but how many of you share?

by default the user's my documents folder is where the game runs off of, each user and admin can have a separate game, with a separate user operation folder, and different sims to play with

if you had 2 people on the same computer by giving them a separate windows user account they could have there own sims game entirely and you could have your own, and they would all share the core game files but have separate settings like with their own separate CC and Sims and settings a mods and more that would not effect your game, as long as you have separate windows 10 user accounts.

On Windows 10

Create a Separate Local Profile

Open the Settings menu and go to Accounts > Family & other users. ...

Click Add someone else to this PC. ...

Select I don't have this person's sign-in information at the bottom of the window. ...

Choose Add a user without a Microsoft account. ...

Create a username and password for the local profile.

Windows 7 and XP

Go to control panel,

User Accounts

Create user or Admin Account

create it and restart your PC

Log into the new account

Start the sims 2 game up and then the new game shall appear in the new EA Games My Documents folder

NOTE: You may delete this if you find this guide unhelpful I was only trying the help, but I never did this myself in windows 10 and I am a little rusty in windows 7 and XP so bare with me admins and fellow sims fans

also you can do this for yourselves if you want to test mods you can also have one Windows user account for testing some light sims mods with too

as long as the mods are supposed to go into the My Documents EA Games Folder and not into the core game files it should not have any effect on each account

I've got two admistrator accounts on my laptop and had that one my old Window XP machine and will continue to do so on any new laptop in the future.I created my spare user accounts just after getting new compers each time I needed a new one.I've got my current computer set up to log off to the start screen and it loads that up when the computer is booted up and I choose which user-account I want to log into and I can log off and switch accounts from my start screen.

I think that's an easily organised and straightforward way of doing things, Aspersim. My husband doesn't play sims, so he used to let me use his account to set up my testhoods and we had a joint user account where I played with one type of cc and then mine, where I played with another type of cc. But you can also (and I did this with my latest computer) set up different user folders and for example swap them as you need or temporarily rename them as you need, that way you can keep it all on the same user account. What way is the best way depends on yourself and the other players you share a computer with - I think i prefer doing it like you described, but I'm not sure yet.
