Missing store content in CAW/SuperCAW (How to get origin to work now)
So after a long and arduous journey I have come to the final length to get CAW working so I can finish my world. I have been able to get CAW to run but I can't get it to recognize my store content. I think it has something to do with the fact that the EIG doesn't like it when the DCCahe (for my set the path is documents/Electronic Arts/ The Sims 3) is larger than 2gb, which it is when I have all my store content loaded. So I rename it to DCCahe backup, so it generates new blank DDCahe, then EIG works fine, it loads my world but I only have vanilla and expansion pack items to work with. I notice that if I go to play the sims 3 with the new blank DCCahe folder none of my content is installed and am wondering if that is the cause, by wiping DDCahe I'm uninstalling my content so CAW isn't showing it. I have followed the instructions here
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...p:CAW_Framework
The issue I might have had was where the Packages folder that all the store content for CAW goes, would that be "Program File (86x)/ Electronic Arts/ The Sims 3 Create a World Tool" the same folder where the edited Resource.cfg is or somewhere else? I've also tried using the 4gb patch from here
https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371
to patch every executable I can find but no luck. I'm running the WorldbuilderCS.exe which is in the same folder as the CAW.exe as an administrator, my pc was build around an 3080ti as a mark of how modern it is, running windows 10. I've also tried running EIG with the blank DCCahe folder and switching to the full one once the world loads but still nothing.
I'll give an offering to the gods of the internet with the hope that by helping others, others will help me. For along my way I have resolved a few issues I'm sure many will encounter.
So origin when it updates forces you to use the EA app which wont run the sims 3, it won't download it. This has been a problem since atleast october of 22 and EA's solution has been just play it on origin. So now if you've updated origin you have to uninstall origin and find an older installer for it. I'm using version 10.5.119 as I found my download somewhere else, but here are some older versions one can download.
https://origin.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions
Once its been installed do not sign in, close origin and find C:ProgramData\Origin\local.xml, add the lines
<Setting type="1" value="true" key="MigrationDisabled"/>
I also added
<Setting type="10" value="http://m4d.fury/" key="UpdateURL"/>
<Setting type="10" value="3364e1539e5f66357efe69cde5349cfd" key="c49a82550abff5f92670190e760eae4a"/>
<Setting type="10" value="a7bc9849f2b8f0fc" key="d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e"/>
but I can't find where I got those from so I'm not 100% sure they're needed, I've uploaded my local.xml file you can use to copy or compare.
between the <settings> and </settings>. Then delete every Originthinsetup.exe you can find, I think there is one in program files(86)/origin and program/data/origin/selfupdate/staged. Hopefully you're able to use origin without it wanting to update to the EA app and can install/play the sims 3 now.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
