Woeford is awesome and I really recommend, although I play it as a modern-days theme and imagine it as some very anarchist town that live in far-far away from the cities in such an orange desert. It's the only world that I never bulldoze any lots or redone the town, because it's just awesome.

Back to our topic, for time themed, like I said I have a wide range on my own worlds (planet) from this:

To this:

To:

♒ Aquarius Sun, ♈ Aries Moon, ♈ Aries Rising

Sorry for my English :)

Woeford is one of the few worlds I have ever gotten where I made very few changes. I also really like Cronor. I was looking at a world again the other night, (Lost Kingdom?), which is very nice with no roads, but decided travel would be a too slow nightmare unless I put llamas everywhere.

I have built Sims houses based on Sears plans. Very fun to do. I think one or 2 of my lots on the exchange were some I did.

I just readjusted my sims lifetime and seasonal change to this in the photos below tonight, I could not wait 100's of days for my first generation of sims two die so I shortend their life to be more realistic 1 sim day now equels one real life year off a real human natural born life of todays people

Baby 2 days
Toddler 2 Days
Child 8 Days
Teenager 8 Days
Young Adult 15 days
Mid Life Adult 30 days
Elder Adult 25-

Making the adverage death time between 80-95 sim days some sims will live longer depending on their health I assume based on my earlier town play throughs of The SIms 3 life course
each seaon is now only 7 days makings the sim planet 28 real life earth years to go around it's sun.

I study many documentaries on the real life Universe and from what I gather on planets other than the earth and it's solar system in real life. Most real life other planets have longer and shorter time periods then we have going around our own sun in real life. Making the sims planet a whole new imaginary planet altogether. That unlike in real life our Earth takes 365 days to rotate our sun this sim planet would take about 5,040 real life earth days to make one full year.

One planet's local year is one full rotation around it's own star, meaning if we humans in real life ever get off this old planet earth we would then need to calculate our new years based on Earth only on a different spectrum of what I just pointed out if real life people were still going by the Gregorian calendar

I do a lot of time-themed worlds. From medieval to modern. Mostly, though, I'm stuck as an elderly Gen Xer into that time period, as it's the most comfortable for me. I do have a 1940s world, and been playing with the semi-modern Roaring heights - running it from the 1920s to the 1950s.

Right now, though, I'm still messing with Twinbrook and gradually bringing it up to speed for the modern world, but not TOO much. Where I live, there's a decent amount of mixed time-period buildings, so I go with that.

Maybe I'll get into CAW and actually DO a world based on my current living environment. That's the one thing I see personally that the Sims has dropped the ball on. The town centers look NOTHING like the town centers where I live - most of the commercial districts are out on the outskirts of town and the "main street" has old buildings.

though sorta complicated you could design your own custom rabbit hole Town Hall that, if you use the "Moveobjects on/off" cheat then place a city hall or sim government building basement under the lot with a shell on top does not matter how big or small the shell building is as long as it includes a stairway Or? I guess an Elevator? going down into the basement where your actual sim will enter to go to work. You can also use one of the Late Night expansion pack shells or your own custom shape of a building I think? don't take my word for it because I never actualy used a pre build custom shell before

Technically speaking, you will have another building underground that your sims will need to enter to do all the rabbit hole functions but you can still use the rest of the structure that is above the surface as decorations or if you know how you can make fully functional custom rabbit holes that allow you to see what is happening inside or at least some of it, but that would require I guess? mods and Custom content.

you can also access the custom rabbit hole from the map screen then click and you sim or sims should automatcally know where to go to enter the actual under ground real rabbit hole underneath

or grab a rabbit hole rug but I don't know where to find those today

I did find these and I'm now going to check them out

here are some 1983 custom rabbit hole additions to my original 1960's starter world called "Horse Drawn Creek" I am now working on a town renovation project updating my current town as we speak about this on this post, the red building is a custom school house with one of those rabbit hole doors I found in the last post off of a different site that was in partially different language than english, but I was able to read one of the instructions in English you are suppose to install those files into your My Document Mod/packages folder and all the rabbit hole rugs for all expansions as far as I know are included, including actual rugs in the downloads link above but I like the doors best

the white larger structure rabbit hole is a custom Main Hospital as you can see no furniture is inside of it because sims are just suppose to disappear when they go inside because all the rooms have the hidden marker inside of them to make them like actual rabbit holes, if anyone has been to psych hospital in real life some of you probably can figure out which section of the hospital is both the Childs and the adult unstable ward for unstable sims to come and visit

Oh yeah, I've totally gone and done that, several times. I use the rabbithole rugs instead of sticking buildings underneath in basement lots. I think I even did that to the Mont St. Michel world I downloaded a while back - they had the buildings jammed in basements and I just took those out and put in the rugs instead. I usually tuck them behind a door or something.

For example, in my Twinbrook story-themed world, the city hall is joined with the police station, as I removed the entire center of the town and redid it to be more like towns in my teeny rural Northeast area. Some of the buildings I left and built around, and some have become rabbitholes. I will even put multiple rugs/rabbitholes on a lot and I don't get too much of an issue.

But since I don't do gameplay as much as I use the game to illustrate stories, it doesn't matter too much to me if there's any rabbitholes or whatever - just that the background scenery looks good.

An example of a couple of my builds for backgrounds (not in the town) Basically I snagged Flora2's Old Seedy Hotel and added to it to make some buildings for Twinbrook.

I got all the rugs too but I really really prefer the "rabbit hole" doors included in the download link above along with all the rugs, as far as I know all the doors work like the rugs do, but with the doors and the hidden markers together it makes it just like one of the default rabbit holes that you can place directly to the lot or basement.

I am no longer going to use the basement method. because I just recently found the Rabbit Hole Doors way way more useful, I even just made a Department Store rabbit hole yesterday by adding one Grocery Store door next to one Book Store door, Ironically both doors look the same making this department store rabbit hole just like a real life Walmart where sims can shop for hundreds of groceries and books as well as other toys and items sold under the default grocery store rabbit holes., to make my sims only shop for books they enter the right door, if sims are looking to buy groceries or other accessories they enter through the left door. but both icons appear on the same rabbit hole building
