Default Life Stories
So...was anyone ever interested in Vincents story?

I always feel like he's forgotten about Yk...riley on the cover with a random mom and her 2 kids (???)

I remember the one time I played him, I had to go on a date but I didnt make it in time and the date stood me up...and I could never progress forward.

Bit of a nothing post really, just nostalging atm

They need to revive the series definitely. Could spice up the sims 4

PS....I found this relic of a website in the files for the game.

To be honest, I played his story because I wanted to unlock his neighborhood. I rushed through it. The gold digger chick looked exactly like my sims before I discovered CC. I was stuck with Life Stories and was bored with Riley's town so I wanted to play Vincent's town for a change. I only remember a satellite falling on his true love and his bringing her back to life. I remember his home looking awful and his net wroth being over 1m which was impossible with his salary and young life stage. I don't think it's possible to be a millionaire in The Sims at all, but having 300k is basically millionaire status. Sims 2 (especially base game with elements of Nightlife like LS) is way too suburban family focused to make a young millionaire bachelor game interesting. I would live for Vincent's story if it was GTA meets The Sims with kitschy furniture, Versace furniture and clothes, hedonism and parties that you would expect from a sim like Vincent.

I loved the idea of the Lifestories series, but I was so shocked by how the stories were implemented! They had it all- arson, vandalism, fist fights... Vincent had to choose between love or money. Both Riley and Vincent have to attack and beat up other sims in order to progress the stories. Considering that they were aimed at players with laptops and 12 rating, I was pretty horrified at the time as my kid was that age and wanted to play. At least in Sims 2, your character wasn't compelled to fight!

For Vincent's story, I was always more interested in his friends! Sherman Boggle, Greg Chomsky and that millionaire guy seemed much more interesting to me, and Vincent seemed a bit one dimensional. Cool house though!

I played Life Stories at that age and it was still pretty tame .I loved fighting with Riley over a man and calling the police on them. Too bad you can't do that in a normal gameplay. But let's be real, an "EP" called Life Stories had to have some spicy drama. It was the type of storyline girls have when playing with dolls, plus we played kissing games as tweens and sometimes 18+ games with friends when we felt rebellious.

Crikey, I don't want to ask what kind of neighourhood you grew up in! Seriously though, I think I was looking at it from a parental perspective and you were looking at it from a child's perspective, so I suppose that's why we both felt differently about it.

Don't worry, I had a normal upbringing, we saw the spicy stuff on soap operas. As an adult, I am also clutching my pears at the music tweens listen to not remembering that little girls were worshipping Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kesha and other raunchy artists at that time. What makes me feel old is that a 16 year old's usual first introduction to the Sims as kids is Sims 4 and often the only Sims game they ever played.

I rather liked castaway stories, as it felt like different to what you get with base TS2. Life and Pet Stories never interested me. Honestly, I'd rather an Urbz 2 or Bustin' Out 2 than another life stories game. I feel like those had a more unique theme and approach to the established gameplay, much like Castaway Stories.

Life Stories is the only Stories game I haven't played. I wasn't really interested in a game with no new gameplay (if it does have stuff that Sims 2 doesn't have then let me know). I mainly got Pet Stories because I'd heard of the dog agility course (which has now been ported to Sims 2!). And Castaway Stories looked totally different (I really wish that they'd added the swimmable lake to Sims 2).

Yes I really love the Stories games and played through all of them many times.

I also went and recreated them for Sims 2 if anyone has not seen them yet.
