Default [UPDATE: Werewolf files?] *Rather intimidated, uncertain, and overwhelmed about attempting set up a default replacements for the werewolf skins with linked meshs (various life stages+f/m)

A week or two ago I posted a thread asking about how to have a cc werewolf outfit-mesh+skin (SynapticSim's Werewolf Meshes, SynapticSims's werewolf Showerproof skintone) be worn whenever a werewolf sim transformed and eventually via some helpful replies realised I would need to do a bit leg work to do this, if it could be done at all. Now I'm wanting to actually go about doing it but don't know where to start.

This thread from 2011 is essentially what I'm trying to do but it never received a reply:
Other - Making a default werewolf skin replacement using a different mesh!

I've seen these tutorials; 'Bodyshop - TUTORIAL : how to link a genetic skintone to a specific not default nude mesh' & Default skin replacment tutorial (includes Templates and Pictuers) , which sound like they're within spitting distance of what I should be doing, but without knowing how they overlay onto the specifics of what I'm trying to do I'm just not confident enough to try guessing my way through it.

While discussing in my original thread, I came across these replies under the skin tone I'm wanting to use, which seems to be EXACTLY what I need to do, but without a step by step tutorial I have no hope of doing this without significant trial and error risking seriously breaking something.

I was hoping anyone knew of a tutorial that might cover this specifically? And if anyone has a list of the default files used by werewolves in TS2? Sorry if this seems obvious, honestly my brain gets overtaken by white noise when there's this much to figure out and no certain choices.

[UPDATE]: Coming back to this question/post because I realise it's rather meandering and unfocused. Thought it might be more useful to ask specifically if anyone had a list of all the files pertaining to werewolves, what they are, and how the game uses them?

As far as I know, the werewolf skins/textures act as overlays to the original skin, so I think they normally use whatever default bodyshape the sim has.

The werewolf items are most likely somewhere in the Pets files (you're probably after the 3DIR and PropertySet along with TXMT, TXTR and LIFO 0 resources for the textures, and GMDC for the meshes. Make sure to extract the files you need - don't edit the original ones). You should be able to use the Finder tab in SimPE for various other resources.

You can find a default werewolf skin for the full list of names of the TXTR/TXMT resources (most will probably be named something like "[age/gender][body/hair/face]werewolf", such as "afbodywerewolf").

I think most bodyshape mods rely on a top and bottom mesh. No idea if these meshes come with those. If not, it's possible you'd have to separate the meshes to make it work.

(I'm not sure if it would work, because I can't remember having seen spesific bodyshape mods for supernaturals, and I have the feeling it would've been one of the things people would've jumped on almost immediately if it was an easy task - especially with werewolves. But maybe nobody just ever did).
