Default sims non-routable water area
hi everyone,

i do hope this isnt a stupid question. im new to this

im remaking sunset valley in caw, and the entire body of water is marked as sims non-routable

later in game, id like to add a few diving areas in the water and also build houseboats near the shore. do i need to mark it sims routable, or can i leave it as it is?

the attached picture is one of the locations where id like to add a diving spot (edge of the map, near ms crumplebottoms house)

thank u for any help ♥

Hi,
It doesn't really matter if the ocean is marked as "sim non-routable" — sims can swim without any problem, and even boats move freely in the water (I tested it in a custom world I have, and it's working just fine). However, be careful with the routing paint, because bad routing is usually the #1 reason why a world will lag heavily.

I have placed a few dive sites in worlds that don't have them, and I believe they can only be done in routable areas, and you need to be sure the water is deep enough.

You can also start a thread and ask in the CAW section.

Shiny, happy people make me puke!
