What even is "Ask me first before downloading/using"?
I am so curious to know what that option on a user's profile means. Cheers, Daniel

Could you please link to the page/ profile where you saw this so that we can take a look? It could be that they want you to ask their permission before modifying their files.

Do you mean "Ask me first before modifying/using"?
This is a checkmark you can tick in your content policy - or "Terms of Usage" - if you're a creator on MTS, and how I understand it is that if it is ticked, you should:

- ask before modifying the files or code in any way with the intent to re-upload them.
This could apply, for example, if there is a tuning mod but you do not agree with the way the original creator tuned the values, so you want to change the values and upload this alternative version.

- ask before using the files or code in your own creations.
This could apply, for example, to custom wallpapers you want to use on a lot which you wish to upload.

That said, most people do not mind what you do with their works or their code as long as it's for your own use on your own device. The content policy instead aims to line out how a creator wants their work to spread on the internet.

Oh, thank you for pointing that out.
